I got the pink one and I found it too sensitive if you over pump it see my review for comments.
Some toys are just great. Some works well for you while not others. Had one as a gift at 32 that is similar to penis pump(3 inches dia) except the glass receptacle(½ inch dia) is a lot smaller in size. Connecting tubing detachable from the receptacle. Didn't really like it.
May be I should take it out and try again.
In answer to your question, yes I would recommend warming up first as it were but it just depends on how lubricated she is naturally. Hey lady spider, no stupid questions at all and to be completely honest when I first encountered one with an ex I was pretty concerned of the same. But to answer your questions :
1: They are not dangerous unless used inappropriately, you need to communicate with your partner and try and get one with a quick release button. But they won’t pull your insides out like a horror movie, it’s just a gentle suck which you control with the bulb until you feel comfortable.
