Not something I hav tried but think I might like it.

I would imagine you would have to be careful in its use, i.e. not for too long. I overdid the penis pump once !!

Assuming your tube is still an OK size, if it's the pump that's giving issues, try a "Brake bleeding kit" pump intended for use on a car(hand held) as it's likely to give you a much better pump ( vacuum) level and no one will question why you need it!
If you're good at DIY:-
Any perspex/polycarbonate plastic tube can be heated (gently about 160-180c ) and reshaped, so its say more oval in shape, then just glue on a end cap at the other end, heat and fold out slightly the open end so it's more comfortable for her, flame polish to smooth/remove any sharp edges, drill a hole in it and attach your pump!
