Question in regards to sleeve warmer and sleeves

Hello, I am currently looking at purchasing Turbo Thrust as I’ve seen really good reviews of it.
I have a question about it and the sleeve warmer however, is it possible for the warmer to melt it?
I have two other sleeves ( Beyond and Peaches, want Turbo Thrust for a sort of oral to finish the trio ), and I use it on both of them and it works fine even tho I can leave them on for quite a bit of time even up to 30-40 min sometimes.

However when I read reviews of Turbo Thrust on the Fleshassist website I read someone warn that the sleeve warmer had melted theirs?
The one I am looking at is the Turbo Thrust Blue Ice, is it made out of a different material than the standard ‘’ Girls ‘’ sleeves with a lower tolerance for heat?
I don’t seem to be able to find anyone else talking about this but the sleeve warmer seems to be sorta unpopular and most people just swear by water instead.
But I’d still like to be able to keep using it on the Turbo too.

Would appreciate if anyone has experience on this or know if it’d be a problem.

@Waazooh hello welcome to the forum I’m in no position to help but no doubt someone will :slightly_smiling_face: :upside_down_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Are you talking about this warming rod? We haven’t used a warming rod, so I can’t speak from experience, but since it’s a Fleshlight product, it is probably compatible with Fleshlight sleeves and will have instructions/warnings that come along with it… The product page says it has automatic shut-off and power-cycling to stop overheating at max 55C, but if you leave the sleeve on longer than what the manufacturer recommends (looks like 10-15 minutes), maybe it’s possible to melt the sleeve… You could contact customer care if you want to find out if they would replace a Fleshlight sleeve if it melted on a Fleshlight sleeve warmer…

Hi @Waazooh . Welcome to the forum.

@PKH makes some excellent points. It stands to reason that Fleshlight’s warming rod should be compatible with a Fleshlight sleeve.

I don’t know the exact material of each of these toys, but to me it also seems a reasonable assumption that temperatures high enough to melt TPE or Silicone could also probably cause burns or at least a lot of discomfort ! The sleeves are meant to be a really good body temperature in an ideal world.

The thermostatic controls should be designed to keep the toys’ materials below their melting point. As it’s a safety feature, I’d be willing to go a little further and bet that the thermostatic control will work for any duration. Now USB-A connectors have a maximum of 9 watts power delivery by design, so my understanding is that the Fleshlight warming rod takes around 10minutes to warm the toy to a decent temperature, depending on conditions, and this seems to be a big reason it’s not a well loved accessory. Not everyone likes to wait that long!

And if the room temperature is cold enough, the inner may reach the right temperature while the outer body of the sleeve stays cold, so that once the warming rod is removed, the warmth disappears into the colder part.

Now, I’m purely speculating here, but I guess it’s possible, with many many thousands of warmers being sold worldwide that the odd one may have malfunctioned because of a manufacturing flaw or whatever.
It’s also possible, I’d guess that the odd user has inadvertently ‘melted’ their toy by using a silicone lube or hybrid lube containing silicone, though this is really a process of chemical decomposition rather than anything to do with temperature.

I’ve heard that some people prefer to apply lube and slip the warming rod down into the upturned sleeve (good thermal contact), then wrap their fleshlight in a towel (keeps the warmth in, so the toy takes on an even temperature. Then clean the rod to use as a drying rack after play’s over.

But I guess dropping it in a warm bath is a quicker solution all round!

I’m lucky enough to own this Tenga warming rod and sleeve. The warming rod is actually a bit hot to the touch at it’s warming cycle, and the power supply is marked as 54 watts so I’d say it’s a bit more powerful ( though the heating element may use a bit less than the power supply can deliver). So far I’ve had zero problems with either the Tenga sleeve or a Fleshlight ("Stoya”).

Keeps water out of the bedroom too!

I have the fleshlight warming rod and it seems to work really well. It just cycles on and off and greatly enhances the fleshlight experience, especially on a chilly evening
