I turned 50 about 6months ago and been going through the menopause for a couple of years. Just these past few weeks I’m constantly horny I mean 24/7, I could literally have sex 3-4 times a day and think about sex all the time and my clit is throbbing. I have loads of sex toys which I love experimenting with and my husband is loving my new found sex drive, I’m just worried he’s not going to be able to keep up with my needs. Has anyone else had this or is it just me? I thought I would never have sex again and now I can’t get enough of it!

My wife went through menopause after she had a hysterectomy, for the first 6 months to year her hormones and libido, and emotions were all over the place. She eventually got on HRT, and for a time she was like you to some extent, always ready for sex. Because of my crazy work schedule we could go days without making love, then screw each other’s brains out on my days off. Now many years and off HRT, her libido has tanked. For her a lot of sex is once a week now. So I would say bravo for you to be having the surging sex drive. It will not last, so enjoy it while you can. I hope your hubby can keep up!

Every woman is different. My libido dropped and unfortunately something else was going on in my life that left me feeling worthless so sex was the last thing on my mind and I was just not interested. Now over the menopause and in a better place and my libido has returned but at 66 years of age the knees and back pain are limiting.
