It is something I’ve noted about narcissists, that they accuse you of doing exactly what they are doing. I had one that stupidly did that, and I hadn’t realised he was doing it until he mentioned it! But it is the standard narcissist playbook to play the victim and blame you. They are so predictable.

As I mentioned above, mine nominated me for an award (Sexual Freedom Award, you might be familiar?). My first thought was “aww! that’s cute!” and then after he cheated on me I was like “hold up, is this about me, or is this about the status that comes with me, and that status had I been awarded a prize?”. It’s interesting how defensive he got when I said it was a genuine concern for me!

Just a little update for you all: I was on Facebook earlier and when I went to search for a local business, it came up that I might want to visit Dave’s profile. I was surprised by that, as mentioned above, he blocked me on 10th December, just over three weeks ago. When I visited his profile he’d said about leaving Facebook on 19th December; he returned to it sometime within those twelve days and unblocked me, but hasn’t messaged me.
I’ve blocked him now. I don’t need toxic, vengeful, judgemental people in my life.
