I’m sure the majority of couples/partners have lost the spark/mojo/ sex drive at some point along the road

What tips/ideas/lived experiences have you got that help reignite the intimacy between you and your partner.

I am in the same boat here, since having the snip I lost interest in sex even playing with myself. I have spoken to my wife about this she isn’t the issue its me. The trouble as well is kids are getting older an wanting to stop up later, time they go to bed we are the same. So ye could do with some advice same as you :+1:

What will reignite the spark is individual to every couple but I believe the one common thing is openness and communication, and a desire to try new things.

For us we had to make time and effort to prioritise time together. We have a teen at home so completely understand how that puts a damper on things. What works for us is to slope off to a hotel for a few hours a couple of times a month. Booking.com for a cheap, clean hotel.

A little turn-on for us is knowing when we drop the key back late evening the receptionist usually looks slightly puzzled and no doubt concludes with a colleague or two we must be having an affair :joy:

There is always time but people devote it to other things or blame older kids. That never really got in our way. They know we have sex. It is healthy. Most of the decline starts with lack of intimacy. Touching, holding, kissing, engaging in meaningful conversation, etc.

I think you’re right it does start with neglecting the innocent tactile stuff, and not making the most of even the short time that might be available.

While our teen obviously knows we have sex, our house is quite small and she doesn’t need to hear her Dad spanking me with a paddle, or a plethora of buzzing, thrusting vibrating toys :joy: We save noisy games for when we’re at a hotel or on the rare occasions we have the house to ourselves.
