As someone who admits to having a foot fetish I often read comments from men in fetish forums reasons why ladies paint their toes is to get our attention, is that true or wishful thinking?
My theory is the total opposite thou a complete guess. Almost every lady I been with have said how ugly her feet are ( often were beautiful) so is it a insecurity issue?

I think a lot of women say they have ugly feet automatically.
Personally I've always got polish on my toes and in the summer rings but that's just because I think it looks pretty and I like taking the time out to paint them :)
women paint ther toe nails because they like to show of their feet especially in the summer in a nice pair of sandals. if you get a pedicure and the technician gets your feet looking good you don't want to leave the salon with unpainted nails you might pick a colour to go with an outfit or one you simply like the look of it gives you a little confidence boost
Even if it's not summer so my feet will be covered, I still like to paint my nails. I just feel like my feet look prettier when my nails are a nice colour. I actually think I have quite nice feet and certainly don't think they look ugly without polish, just prefer them with polish :)
I think my toes look ugly unless they have nail varnish on. I don't wear toe rings or anything like that, but I do wear nail varnish on my toes. I don't even do it for my husband, and don't wear shoes where you can see my toes, only very rarely, but I think it just looks nicer when they're painted :)
I paint my toes because it's part of me looking after my feet.... I have a toe ring and normally wear an anklet... Both gifts and have a sentimental meaning! I don't do it for attention but because I like having nice feet, then I can wear whatever shoes I like :)
I have big feet for a woman & I don't like my feet but I love having painted toe nails even if I'm the only one who knows as I rarely have my tootsies out
Partial to a nice painted toe, I see it as a good starting point to suck on your journey up the ankle,calf, then back of the knee across to the inner thigh. Like a hound on the scent to the treasure pit that is the "well of nectar". "The honeyed hole".
I love having painted nails, as I'm a simpleton and enjoy the pretty colours. They look nice and it's a little something that brightens up my day.
I am one of those that hate feet, especially my own, although a previous partner loved them and used to kiss them to prove to me that he wasn't just saying to make me feel better about myself. I find, that though I hate my feet, when I paint my nails they at least look a little more attractive even if it's just for my own self confience although it is nice if a partner picks up on them too and comments on how nice they look. I don't find my feet ugly, they're actually slender and soft (but I have seen some awful looking feet!! Yuck!!) I'm just not a foot person haha!! X
My fingernails are usually long so I keep them painted. My toes always match my fingers. I *think* it's out of habbit. Toe rings I wear on occasion because I think they look cute :)
I have to say i really hate having my feet touched or people touching me with their feet. It just grosses me out. My hubbys been trying to get me into feet massages and im trying but i just feel so uneasy when he does it.
As for painting nails i just do it as a looking after myself as i do with my finger nails, theyre always manicured and painted. I also dont wear toe rings but my hubby has a real horny thing for ankle bracelets.. which i dont mind wearing and wore one he bought for me on our wedding day.
As an artist that did a stint in life drawing ( drawing ppl in the nud in a class for the uninitiated😊), feet are one of those parts of us we always get wrong.
When we look at our own feet from above... They tend to look chubby, ugly.... It is really only when you see them in 3 Rd person you actually see the same supposed chubby foot is actually quite slender... And well balanced.
It is all to do with the angle you see them.. It distorts the proportions.
I love painting my toe nails, as I also love sandals.. And I also find them highly sensitive when someone is in to feet.
Toes especially the big toe are quite erogenous when sucked or licked.... Can send tinklings right down the spine to the base!😀
It is a well worth place to visit.... But I admit ... If I was planning anything .. The ol' tootsies would get a scrub and soak to make them soft ...and suckable....😇

But how is that possible that an objectively slender foot would appear fat if viewed from above? If it's slender, then it's slender... I don't get it ;) Is it the same disorder that makes sick skeleton-thin girls think they are obese?
OK.. Will try and elaborate.... Try drawing your own feet from your own perspective..... And then do the same for someone else.... You will be surprised at the perception of form and scale seems different....
Feet from above look broader.... Well hello... They are designed to spread out to take the weight of the rest of you!
When you view a foot from the side(is in 3rd person). You see more of the tapering lines.... Feet have a the same effect as a flying buttress on say a cathedral.... They deflect the load over a large surface area.... And the foot tapers out on all sides. It is a lot easier to see when you look T someone else's foot.
I love my feet, and I feel comfortable about mine.... I like to pamper them and have them " enjoyed" too....without them.. We will be screwed!!😂

Doesn't work that way for me; there are no perception distortions, whether it's my own, or someone else's — I see them for what they are. I tend to pay attention to feet, so I would know if there was a reality warp at play ;)

Being a newbie writing my first post on this forum thanks to everyone whos taken time to respond. Great to read so many of you are looking after your feet for your own enjoyment!. I think there is this issue with feet as we do keep them covered up much of the year plus feet are not usually thought of by most as being sexual so any mention of feet and sexy in same sentence makes people feel awkward. I have had pedicures in the past ( not painted!!) and know myself how wonderful it feels to have feet massaged ( same with Reflexology)
Totally get what Naughty Mum writes about how we see our feet, think it is the case that even if I was to say your feet are so beautiful etc etc if you think your feet are ugly nothing is going to change that thought, only you can change the way you think.
The foot is a very sensitive area, I love giving a foot massage not just toe sucking, its mutual pleasure for both. With the right feel it can create wonderful sensations.

I totally agree with you, I didn't think that feet were sexual at all, and I find feet quite disgusting. But me and my husband were in the bath together one day, and I told him to suck my toe for a joke, and he did! I couldn't believe the sensation it gave me, it was like my big toe was hotwired to my lady parts and as soon as it was in his mouth I was feeling shooting tingling sensations all the ways up my inner leg, to my lady bits :O I've become quite partial to it now, I didn't realise it could feel so nice. I still don't particularly like feet, especially other people's feet, but I definitely enjoy the occasional big-toe-sucking!
