Recommendations for strapons and chronic pain

Hello everyone!

My partner and I are thinking of delving into the world of strap-ons but are complete beginners. We’re both female and my partner has a chronic pain condition that affects everything below her waist so for the time being it would be for use on myself with her wearing it. While I’m not a beginner to the world of sex toys I haven’t really looked into the best strap-ones etc.

We were thinking of getting the ‘underwear’ style of harness as it looks much less complicated and more comfy than the traditional ones, but have no idea about the dildos to go alongside. Personally I prefer less realistic ones but we’re open to suggestions.

If anyone has any experience with using strap-ons with chronic pain or has suggestions for a pair of beginners it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This was our first strap on Full back harness its adjustable and comfortable on the back for the wearer we haven’t tried the underwear style ones though in regards to dildos there’s a limited range of non realistic ones lovehoney sell a couple Fun factory ones or their Own brand ones have unrealistic colours which may be worth checking out.

Thanks for the advice! I like the idea of the colour changing one, what a novel idea!

As someone who suffers from a chronic pain condition, I cannot recommend liberator sex furniture enough! I know it seems pricey, and superfluous- but it is honestly sex life changing- for both of us.

I am not the strap on wearer between my partner and I, so I cannot personally recommend something I have tested. Non realistic dildo recommendations that are harness compatible:
*tantus makes excellent dildos that are both realistic, and non realistic. I love their duel density Cush 02 personally. They have a variety of sizes, and shapes.
*Wet for Her makes excellent dildos. They were founded by Alice- who wanted to make sex toys that were created for lesbian, and queer women after finding many sex companies catered mostly to heterosexual couples, or straight women.
*if you like fantasy toys that look nothing like an actual human: Jabercocky is run by WLW and all of their toys are harness compatible, body safe, and hand poured.
I would also recommend finding a nice bumper for the strap on wearer to make things even more fun/comfortable! They have squishy ones, vibrating ones, textured ones…so many things! I hope you are able to find something you both like!

Thank you so much for your recommendations! Always like hearing about companies and products made by and for us LGBT folks!
And forgive my ignorance, I’m assuming a bumper is something the wearer uses under the harness?
