Recommendations for the apparently sensitive...

So, still new to sex toys and trying to find what works for me and the last purchase was a total fail :( I'm looking for a vibe, but I have discovered I am apparently *very* sensitive - even the slimline rabbit on the lowest setting is way too much, not as in too intense, as in painful :(

Does anyone have any recs for a vibe that can do the lower frequencies well? Insertable preferably, but not necessarily.

Anyone?

I have this

On the first setting it's barely noticeable. It's often as deal of the day though so if you're in no rush, keep checking back and you'll get it better than half price :)

I have this http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=25883 and find it makes more noise than vibrations, but some people say it's quite powerful.

Also this: http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22179 isn't too powerful on the first setting.

The love bunny http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=14026 isn't powerful at all as long as you keep it in the sleeve and don't use the bullet on its own. It has loads of different speeds and patterns, some strong some not.

Lovehoney has a brilliant returns policy so if something doesn't work for you you can always return it or exchange for something else :)

I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for- is it just a weaker vibe or are you trying to find something that's more compatible? If you're finding toys to be painful I doubt it's just because of the power (I may be wrong). When I was new to sex toys I found that most of the vibrators were too hard and fixated in shape to actually "fit right" with me. Perhaps it may be best to find something sort of squidgier or more flexible?

I'd recommend something like these:- http://search.lovehoney.co.uk/search?w=softee&view=grid They appear to be good beginnner vibes.

Some people may just naturally prefer curved toys. I, personally, am like that and prefer dildos with a slight curve to them. As for vibrators- they do nothing for me internally (externally via clitoral stimulation on the hand...).

If you're looking for weaker vibrating toys- then it's best to get some that have different strength levels.

Hope that helps.

Have you tried putting something between yourself and the vibe to ''muffle'' the vibrations? Maybe use it through some clothing, try extra lube so there is less friction, use it around but not on your clit etc

It does seem to be the power more than anything; it's not painful in the insertable sense, I probably wasn't very clear, if I use it on my clit it is WAY too much and painful, if I insert it and turn it on, the vibes are not painful, but not pleasurable and still a bit much. I have a soft-ish dildo and a hard plastic basic vibe, but there's no vibe in the soft and the hard has too insensitive a control and tends to turn itself off and stutter when I have it as low as I need it.

I bought a multi-speed one last week, but am sending it back - it's just too much even on the lowest setting :(

Hmm, that might be worth a try... I haven't been looking at the bullets much as all the blurb keeps talking about how powerful they are...

I've tried with clothing, which does help, but it tends to get in the way if I want a bit more. I'll maybe try more lube - I thought I used too much last time, but maybe not...

I found the lovebunny didn't do anything at all with the bullet in it.

Oh ok! Understood. I think there was a blog post (will try and find it) that showed other uses for a vibe other than using it directly onto our most intimate areas. It showed stuff like using it on a ribbon and then having the vibrations sent across it- sort of giving a tickling effect etc.

Most of the vibrations Lovehoney offers are stronger- even the cheaper ones (they just tend to have a short life span of that burst opf power but still).

I agree with the suggestion of the Lovehoney Bunny bullet vibe. The casing/sleeve will definitely help hold back some of the power. Or maybe something- like this- http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20535 It's important to try and find something that has more strengths/speeds so you can work with the lowest one rather than the powerful single speed options.

You may want to invest in the awesome Lelo Mia- http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=14703 It can be very powerful but you choose your speed and it is USB rechargeable.

Remember, you can always return/exchange any product you're not happy with.

I was exactly the same when I first started using sex toys. I didn't like my clit to be touched during sex or masturbation because it just made me want to hit the roof.

I bought a bullet which was too powerful and in the end my rabbit vibrator did the trick! I use lots of lube and sometimes I'll use a vibrator through my knickers to muffle it a little. You can use something sexy like a silk ribbon to muffle the vibrations too which won't get in the way too much.

Most important thing to do is relax! I agree that the first vibration setting on the rabbit you own is too intense, I wish there was more of a build up xx

I've heard good things about Lelo, the downside generally seems to be the price - but if they're that good it would probably be worth it - I may have to try.

I have to admit the return/exchange thing is fantastic - I'd probably have just given up on the whole idea otherwise rather than spend on things that proved to be no good at all.

Silk ribbons are a thought...

If the rabbit had a half-speed of its lowest setting that would be great - I've kept it as I like it generally, but I'll turn on the vibe without it touching anything and then you get very faint vibes all through it, which aren't quite enough but better, but if I slip and it touches it's a pretty quick turn off so mostly I use it without that part, which seems a bit of a waste, but *shrug*

for me i couldnt handle the pleasure, even touching, but i have learnt to relax and let go,,the letting go bit was the hardest, but omg well worth it :-)
