We recently bought a remote do it vibrator. It’s good, but it turns itself off after 5 mins and can’t be turned back on with the remote, which sort of ruins the point for us.
None of the product descriptions mention this kind of thing so I don’t know if others will do the same. Can anyone recommend one that will stay on?

That doesn’t sound quite right. Is the toy fully charged or does it have fresh batteries? Some do lose connection after a while of not being used but 5 minutes is far too short.
I’d say you may have a faulty one and to contact customer care to get a replacement.
Yes, fully charged.
It’s brand new too so we charged it before use.
I have emailed love honey about it so I’ll see what they say too.

Just to clarify, when I say it turns off, not in use. But if it’s turned on, but not vibrating, ready for me to use the remote when I wish, it turns itself off after 5 mins of inactivity.
That can’t be right… Unless as your saying it happens when it’s inactive, this could be to save the battery if it has been left on accidentally.

Yes, just when it’s inactive.
Means she can’t turn it on, pop it in, then leave me to control it.
I can see why it would go into power saving mode if inactive, but half hour maybe, or the ability to turn it back on from the remote would solve it.

The unit may be faulty or it may just have a stupid design quirk. Whichever’s the case, it clearly isn’t floating your boat, so you may be eligible to return it under the LH Sex Toy Happiness Promise.
I have a suspicion it’s a design quirk. Shame as it’s great.
We haven’t decided if we will return or not, depends what other types are like. As the descriptions don’t mention if they turn off after inactivity I thought I’d ask. Don’t want to end up with the same problem again.
We have come across this with other remote products. They turn off to save the battery after a fixed period of inactivity, or if the connection is lost, which sounds like a good idea at the time but is less clever when you have to go
ferreting about in your underwear to turn them back on again.
That’s a feature I can understand, but 5 mins!

I’ve been thinking about one of these. I’d like to give OH an “O” in supermarket checkout. I’ve got a thing about supermarkets, as per post on daring places you’ve had sex.

Partly our plan too. But unless she leaves this one vibrating constantly it won’t be any good.
She leans over into the freezer, you decide to give her a buzz, but it’s turned itself off again and she has to rummage about to turn it back on.
Takes all the surprise aspect out of it.
I’ve been told its faulty though and a new one is being sent. Hopefully it won’t do the same thing!

I have the egg version of that toy and have never had an issue like that! Sounds like a fault to me.
My biggest recommendation for remote control toys is the Ferri by Lovense! Can work long distance (anywhere in the world) as well as just off an app on your phone. It has about 40 mins to an hour in it and is quite powerful for a tiny clit toy. Just clips into your pants.

We have the egg version also, and got that to replace a cheaper remote egg that had the same issue @Graeme90 describes.
In terms of performing in this sense it works very well, I don’t think we’ve had any connection failures or issues with it not buzzing when we (I) have wanted it to.
Hopefully you’ll find it to be a faulty product. Fortunately LH Customer Services have always been excellent for me, so hopefully they’ll help you get to the bottom of it.

We’ve tried a few now. Mantric have been pretty reliable so as others have said, get on to LH and see if they can’t help you out.
Failing that; we weren’t overly impressed with WeVibe’s offering - I think it’s the WeVibe 4 we had so may have improved by now. Mainly it was the connection being pretty flakey and a mood killer when dropping out. The vibe itself was really good though.
More recently we’ve been using Lovense remote toys. Very occasional drop out issues on the Lush v1 when the aerial got covered. But that’s been fixed in the Lush v2. Edge and Domi 2 also get thumbs up from us. They do have others available too (not sure LH stock them though…so 
). The app and connection are really good, no complaints.
I’ve had the same issue with mid price remote vibrators. Power saving auto shutoff should really be an optional function for these. Few things suck as much as needing to rummage around to turn it back on when you’re supposed to be having a good tease.
