I felt this way. My partner wanted me to be more dominant and I felt a tad out of my depth.
We have under bed restraints which go under the mattress, so just easy to put on should need take us.
But, we often have soft shibari rope and just use that, as you can use that in so many ways, on a chair, on a bed, all sorts.
Maybe gets some handcuffs to start with. Or I have a gorgeous pair of leather thigh straps which also cuff my wrists to them. They are a tad special.
Blindfolds are always a nice touch, you can get the softer satin ones or if they would wear a hood you could get one? You can get really hard core ones but i prefer like a softer spandex type thing. That would restrict their senses a bit.

I’d have a chat about things they would be open to. You dont want to buy a ton of stuff then they not be consenting to using it or it’s not their thing.

Do all under bed ones fit all mattresses?
I have super King bed, and it’s deep fill, so it’s really thick.
We have a Sportsheets set bought 15 years ago and it works with our king bed if the restraints are coming up from under the head and foot of the bed but it’s not long enough to go around the other way (over the sides) to really splay all limbs.
Still worth it, but would have more play options on a queen. They might be longer now, though, or be extra long versions available.
