So, was a but surprised to see that LH don’t sell room odourisers / poppers… I decided to do a little bit of research.

Turns out that it’s actually illegal in the UK to sell them advertised for human consumption, Medicines Act 1968. Who knew? 10-15 years ago when I still regularly went out to nightclubs poppers were everywhere and no one seemed to bat an eyelid. Anyone know if they are still sold in nightclubs? If so how do they get around the law, it’s obvious people will inhale them, so not use the for the legal intended purpose. Seems it’s a very grey area when it comes to the law!

Also seems from my research that they aren’t as strong as they used to be, they were reformulated around 2007.

Most bizarre! Yet you can buy them so easily over the internet and on uk websites I think lol

Seems the UK sites sell the reformulated ones which are much weaker, you have to buy for other non-UK sites to get the good stuff. I’m just surprised LH doesn’t stock them, perhaps a bit too niche for the mainstream.

Poppers are still sold all over the place as long as they are labelled as not for human consumption. They escaped the legal highs legislation of a few years back and there has since been talk of further clarifying the law to make it clearer that they are legal.

Might be for legal reasons they aren’t selling them just to cover themselves incase anything was to happen that could hold them liable

Could be. The size of a few of the toys on here I would be very surprised if some people weren’t using poppers! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I expect it’s a brand image thing too. Solvent abuse is not a great look for the uk’s leading family-friendly sex-toy website. :smile:

I’ve used them myself in the past and enjoyed. Didn’t know that they’d been reformulated more recently.

They are illegal yes, there is also a warning not to use them while taking other sex stuff, I want to say viagra But I’m not 100% sure it is that, as it can cause illnesses, again my memory isn’t the best

A quick Google and I was correct, poppers and viagra can both cause a person’s blood pressure to drop. The combination can result in fainting, stroke, heart attack, and/or death.
