I like the idea of rope play. I just always worry that doing all that tying and faffing about would kill the mood? What tricks do you guys know that would keep everything interesting during tying? x MC x

Words. Bit of dirty talk about what will happen when to tie her up and how you want your wicked way can help make it more fun during the tying stage.
ok just bought a rope and want to know how to tie some useful knots for bondage, anyone got any information to add to whats already here?
Hey WandA! Sole it's the kind of thing that would be better for role-play then would you say?
Sorry Doug I haven't got much advice apart from the books already mentioned in this thread. x MC x

Doesn't have to be. You don't need to be in a role to want to be sucked, licked or finger and tight pussies do you?
Do her books explain the process as well as the more technical knots? Sounds good as i would deffinately like to try it at some point. What to do whilst tying etc?
Hey WandA i was referring to your previous post where you advised me to talk about what i'm going to do to her etc, this would suggest some kind of sub/dom roleplay thats what i meant. x MC x
ok can someone who has read these tell me which one they think is better please.

I would also be interested to know which of these books people like best as I would like to get one (though knowing me I might end up with both eventually as I have a book fetish). I saw Hella recommended the Midori one, has anyone got the other?

Midori's book has comprehensive step-by-step instructions from assessing and setting the scene to actually tying the ropes. The illustrations are simple and clear making everything easy to follow. :)

Whereas The Erotic Bondage Handbook - inside book is incredibly verbose and the diagrams are nowhere near as easy to follow. I think it's better as a second book, although there is a lot of supplementary BDSM chit-chat that many 'how to' books feel the need to add in about safe words and the like.
Also love the full page glossy photos in Midori's book. Seeing the photo of what you can achieve of then managing yourself is really fulfilling ^_^.
I'll keep both of these on my desk for the time being in case you have any more questions ;)
cheers for the advice hella External Media
