Rose charging help

I was wondering if any of you have had a similar problem and / or can offer any help.

My Rose has started to repel my charger.

My wife loves this toy, but every time I go to recharge it, the charger now pushes away from the rose, like when 2 magnets are face to face.

I know it’s the right charger as I put labels on my leads to help as we have so many.

I have also tried other magnetic chargers but still no luck.

It’s a very sad day as I cant get charge into it.

I have emailed customer support, but no reply as yet.

Any ideas would be amazing please.

Thanks

Have you tried using a charger with pins the same width? I’m wondering if the toy needs remagnetising somwhow, if it can be done.

I have tried all the ones I have, none are a perfect match, but still the same issue.

I’ve heard of this problem before - apparently if you get a stronger magnetic and rub it a few times, it remagnetizes

I have a masters degree in Astrophysics but have never heard of this before. My degree was clearly far too long ago. However, a Google revealed:

Possible Issues Leading to “Repulsion”

While intended to attract, some users have reported instances where a magnetic charger seems to repel the device, which is typically a malfunction, not a feature. This is usually due to:

  • Damaged/Demagnetized Magnets: High heat or strong external magnetic fields can sometimes weaken or change the alignment of magnetic domains in a permanent magnet, potentially leading to a change in its effective polarity.
  • Foreign Objects: Metal objects or debris stuck between the charger and the device can interfere with the magnetic field, preventing proper connection and potentially causing odd magnetic interactions.
  • Faulty Third-Party Accessories: Inexpensive or poorly made accessories might not have the correct magnetic alignment or quality control, which could lead to compatibility issues or unexpected behavior.

In the rare event that a device or charger magnet’s polarity is permanently reversed due to damage, the connection will no longer work as intended and may actually repel, meaning the item is broken and would need to be replaced.

The magnetic charger in the Rose and other sex toys are permanent magnets. It sounds like you might have had it stored near a strong magnet if it used to work correctly and now doesn’t? I suggest trying @Stacy2 's suggestion of trying to reallign the magnetism again with a strong external magnet, but getting it right could well be too difficult. Hopefully, it’s within warranty and customer care will replace it. I would try to track down what has interfered with it though so it doesn’t happen to any other toys. Good luck!

You won’t believe how I knew this @Peitho - Oh has tool bits for a screwdriver, which are magnetic. Over time they weaken and he uses a stronger magnet (magnetizer/demagnetizer tool I think its called) and they work like perfect again :joy:

I do agree if inside the warranty I probably wouldn’t try it. If outside you’ve nothing to lose, as without trying to remagnetize the magnetic you won’t know if the magnets are damaged or just weak. Hopefully it falls within

Thanks for your suggestions.

We are pretty good at storing toys away from each other, but did check the peach and Womanizer toys just in case and they are ok.

I think we have had the rose since the beginning, so I assume it’s out of all care.

Still waiting to hear from customer care team too, so will wait for their suggestions then may take you4 advice on a strong magnet, but problem is finding one :joy:

Thanks all

Mine arrived like this, the magnets weren’t connecting. I’ve never been able to give it a full charge. It seems the polarity it off. Fortunately, I received a refund when I contacted customer service.

I was able to use it with the charge that came with it, and it is a nice toy!

Customer service can’t find my order so won’t help.

I have said, I don’t want a replacement or refund, just some technical help with lead or even see if they have had others with this problem.

They said they didn’t know of others having this issue, so I am glad to see other have.
