Safe words

Just a silly post to see what others use for their safe word. I personally use the traffic light system because I find it means that kinky play doesn’t have to completely stop.

If you’re using the trafic light method : Red should be a hard stop. As in any word someone might choose to equal Red such as @tuc1991 mentiond Coca Cola would be. I have friends that use words that hey can easily remember; one friend usses Avocado because they know that will catch my attention everytime (because I hate avocado) another uses touch because they are on the divergent scale and when stimulated they are not able to find words. For me my safeword is Kansas = Yellow slow pace or intensity and Shark = Red STFN (Stop The Fuck Now) if someone has gotten me to that point some boundry has been crossed. I hope safe words are a part of all negotiations prior to play.

I always make a point of discussing safe words and boundaries before engaging in anything kinky with a new partner. I think the reason I use green amber and red is because I think calling out an obscure word would pull me out of my subspace. Luckily for me I have rarely had to use red and when I have its been respected and after care has immediately started x

The safe word I use is “cupcake” although that doesn’t work when you have a ball gag in your mouth. From there the safe word defaults to “mphhh, mpphhhh”

Me and my wife don’t use safe words. Open to anything really. However if it’s too far it’s normally
“uh eh” and if it’s go go go it’s normally sounds like “ oh oh fuck yeah!”

Primary relationship: traffic light system or “burgundy” in social situations. “Beige” if I’m living dangerously :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Pumpernickel with my other partner.

I did see a wonderful domme , who used the traffic light system but “Red” didn’t mean stop , it meant “ this is the limit” .

The safeword was “Jennifer” .

She respected it without question, and went into “care” mode , until she had checked it was OK to continue.

A truly wonderful lady

I use my husband’s first name sometimes too. Amazing how quickly that pulls him back to earth.

If I say my husband’s full name, he instantly stops anything he’s doing and starts looking for an escape.

Oh if I use my husband’s full name he knows they won’t find the body :joy:

@Blizzard and @Tenshadesandme what if they use YOUR full names?

I am so glad I’m never in full name type of trouble.

… then they still won’t find the body, though it’ll be for an entirely different cause
