I am in my 20s but have had 3 kids. I am extremely sensitive down there now and was wondering what sort of sex toy materials should someone who’s experiencing vaginal discomfort or sometimes pain. Glass for the low friction or silicone cause it has some give. Or anything other suggestions? Any advice from someone who’s dealt with similar circumstances would be appreciated (:

I haven’t had kids yet but I do have a bit of a sensitive vagina. I usually go with silicone as glass seems to make me more sensitive. It is personal preference though. You should always go with silicone, metal or glass and never PVC as PVC has lots of pores that bacteria can get stuck in. Just wanted to mention it incase you didn’t know.

I don’t have those circumstances, but if the discomfort is from the friction, glass and metal are good as you said :+1: Silicone can have more friction, but lube can help add moisture and reduce friction, so use plenty of it :slight_smile:

What about a bullet rather than a dildo and work on the clit rather than penetration? Also may be more or better lubrication may help.

Using a lube with minimal ingrediants, no glycerin, no parabens etc is probubly also a good idea.
Sliquid and YES lubes are really good for this. Theyr really good quality and good for sensitive skin/lube allergies too

Theres a ton of clit toys on the site, you can even get squishy ones like @GoGirl12 linked.
(Personally i really like my dame pom, its squishy and rumbly. but i know its pricey so there are a ton of other options on there too)

If you are dead set on a dildo you can get really soft ones (think gummy bear or softer texture). Theres this index called shore density that basically is a measurement of how squishy something is. You can find lists of toys online sectioned by their shore density (phallophile reviews has a nice one) and many makers will also list shore density of their toys.
