Hello everyone, I’m going away with my bestie and we both want to take our vibrators with us. We only have carry on luggage so does anyone have any idea whether they’ll make us take them out our bags?
Don’t really fancy pulling out my vibrator for everyone to see
Hi @jess42
Only if security decide to search your bag, but usually its quite discreet anyway as done away from the main flow of people and won’t just tip contents of your case out.
Sure customs see this on a daily weekly basis so nothing new to them.
Or take more discreet style of toys if you have them.
We took 4 or 5 with us the other week no issues.
Also we only take rechargeable ones with travel locks on them so they can’t go off on their own
Trust me. They won’t bat an eyelid no matter what they find.
A security lady at Charles de Gaulle airport opened our toy bag to reveal vibrators, butt plugs and a strap-on dildo and she wasn’t phased at all. I just brazened it out and she closed the bag and sent us on our way.
As long as you’re traveling to and through countries where they are legal, it’s very unlikely. You might be unlucky and be picked for a random search, but if so, it’s really not a big deal. They will have seen far worse, be proud and take ownership!
We have looked into this for our holidays, you can ask your airline directly and they should be able to confirm (which would be the most reliable way to check) BUT a big thing to consider (what we found) is the culture of your destination, as sex toys are illegal in some countries! So that’s an important thing to consider!
I would pack them in my main luggage bag. I went to Spain last year with my fleshlight and my dildo and I was fine , some countries may have strict rules regarding them , people carry them through airports on a daily basis .
If the battery element can be taken out then keep the toy in your checked in bag and battery in your hand luggage (might have to take the battery out at secuirty if its big enough). I’d double check online though for mains powered items.
Basically airports are only worried about the battery element exploding in the hold, they dont care about the toy or what the battery is used for.
