Sexting app recommendations

Looking for recommendations for the best app for sexting on Apple phones, ideally not the built in messages app or WhatsApp.

It’s something me and the wife want to give a go this year as part of our 2024 improve our sex life drive, especially as there are occasions I’m away with work. We don’t want to use the built in messages or WhatsApp as we already use them for other chats and really want to keep things separate. There are some secure WhatsApp equivalents I see, or there are some ones focused on couples where you pair yourselves using a code, but unsure which of these are good.

@simple_man Try " Signal " it’s similar to WhatsApp but not as popular, so hopefully you won’t confuse message platforms and end up sending something to the wrong person, particularly if you only have 2 contacts on it.

What a great idea might have to try this

Like @Mel3 we use Signal for exactly this purpose.

Telegram is another secure message service.

I use Telegram, Kik or snapchat would also work. Kiks notifications are rubbish mind. Telegram would be my choice. You can also do calls, video or audio, voice notes and take photos/record video.

OH and i also use signal as we are the only contacts we have in it so very difficult to accidently send to wrong person. We do send photos but they are only in the app. Have notifications turned on but no message displayed on home screen.

Me and my wife use ‘between’. It’s personal between the two of you (no accidentally putting things in the wrong chat). It’s behind a passcode of its own (no problem if your phone gets left with kids etc). It has a photo album separate from the iPhone album. We’ve learnt not to open a message in between while there are people behind you - you never know if it’s just text or something more! It’s got a nice function for searching back through the chat too. There’s a few other features there too that we’ve never used - voice calls, stickers, love letters. They’re still updating in regularly too, which was the downfall of ‘couple’ that we’d used previously. There is also a desktop app (at least for Mac) which is quite handy, but it only deals with the messages.
