Wow, I'm obviously quite outnumbered in my opinion on sex during your period.
Everybody has personal preferences, both men and women, and I can appreciate reasons why it would deter some people.

I've yet to have a boyfriend who doesn't agree.
Strangely enough talking to my girlfriends I'm definately in the minority. I had no idea it was such an issue!

Maybe I'll start a thread to see if anyone else gets horny as hell during their period and acts on it. I do draw the line however at messing around with toys at that time, although that said, when I'm on my own and needs must, a glass dildo is SO easily cleaned.
Just curious really, does anyone still continue with sex when the lady has her monthly visit? I remember on a film, being grossed out by the comment 'it's ok..I have towels!' but now, the thought that this weekend when I see my BF I might have my period and miss out is seriously annoying!!!

I wouldn't say I am grossed out by it, as it is only a natural occurance, by my Lady does not feel comfortable, so we basically stop for a few days till she feels okay to start again.
I still have sex while im on my period. When i first got together with my bloke we didnt for the usual 'icky' reasons and in the past my lads never wanted too, but after a bit it got too difficutl to resist, and when nothing ghastly happened we were just like... whats the big deal?
I can understand why loads of people wouldnt want too though.
im lucky i dont get periods anymore (side effect to my pill is it stops them ) but when i was with my ex and before i went on the pill he used to want to but i didnt like it, i felt uncomfy really.
i would def say better of doing it in the shower if u feel a bit un easy.
Tried it once when a litle drunk & way too horny. It was gross, It looked like someone had been mudered the next morning. We were in a hotel (with white sheets!!!) so we stole some dirty sheets from the linen cart & remade the bed then binned the lot! Never again, thats what blow jobs & anal were invented for!
The OH and I have done it a number of times when she's on been on the week of her period. She uses the standard pill for the rest of the month. Usually it has been when she's had quite a low to low-ish flow, and the sex has been some of the best we have! I always use a condom at that time though, and only once has the condom shown signs of her period, but it wasn't much. The OH does get very horny during her period as well, which I just love!
Personally, hell no. I hate it, I feel absolutely rank when I'm on, it is the one time I really am not in the mood... 24/7 when im off, but when im on, no way lol.

I've only ever done it with one of my ex's and she was always of the opinion that it was gross untill we got drunk and very very horny, and like Russ said, it really was the best sex we ever had!! She was even able to orgasm through the penetration alone, which she had never ever ever done before!

Each to their own is definately the best policy on this one. Yes Mrs T gets horny as hell during her week, l hate the sight of blood, have tried it once or twice in complete darkness, but l swear it l can smell the stuff !!!
