We once got into a conversation on this subject with one of the OH female friends who said that she would never shave hers completely bald because it would make her look like she hadn’t been through puberty and therefore thought it slightly weird that anyone would.
The OH at that point was clean shaven and said she preferred being that way, especially when it came to oral sex.
So like most things in life there isn’t a one size fits all.

We have just shaved this morning.
We go on holiday in four weeks to a naturist hotel with our German couple and need time to let any razor burn heal.
Once we start shaving it’s not long before the skin gets used to a regular scrape. I can’t wait until tonight to have smooth sex. The feeling is so different from hairy sex.

Most definitely treat your wife to a waxing session! You won’t regret it.
Yes, honestly, it does hurt a little, but the stinging is momentary and it’s all over in 10-15 mins and you’ve got a least a week or two before you have to worry about much regrowth. The few minutes of pain for me far outweighs the discomfort of the prickly hair growing back from shaving. Waxed hair becomes so much less coarse over time too. Just make sure you find a salon that uses hot wax rather than strip wax. You want the stuff that you pull off not the stuff you use a cotton strip to pull off. So much gentler.
As far as playing goes, most times yeah, I am fine for play time that night. Some times I’ve been a little tender but by the next day it is all back to normal and ready for hubby to devour me.
