Silence

Hi guguys I don't post much but sometimes come by for wee look and see if there any advice.

i was wondering as everyone here seems to be toy aficionados could you tell me a cheap powerful but QUIET and small toy.

My partner and I are quite open at home so it's not really an issue to have rabbits or other things

i want to be able to use it when I'm away ie holiday business ect but that means I need to hide it (like maybe in my makeup case) but the main issue is I sometimes have to share a house so I need it not to be heard in the bathroom (where there is a lock on the door)

sorry for any errors my iPad is not letting edit spelling or grammar without deleting the whole post grrr.

Thanks for all replies

Hello :) I don't really know about quiet toys I can't hear that well anyway but I live on my own most the time so it doesn't bother me, here is the lovehoney extra quiet section though should give you a start to look at while other people reply :)

Hi Sephora, I have this toy - it is a bullet style vibe and is really powerful but on the quiet side. It is also on offer at the moment - see link below - I have a review on there too:

Personally I'd recommend the Lelo Mia http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26487 it's rechargeable so quieter than vibes that take batteries and has travel lock so would be perfect for you! If you hold the - and + down at the same time this locks the vibe so that it doesn't start vibrating in your bag. Its also very discreet, looking like a memory stick. And its waterproof so you can use it in the shower!

Here are some more quiet vibrators http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex-toys/vibrators/extra-quiet-vibrators/

LH have discontinued this particular vibe http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=1544 but you can easily find it elsewhere it's very powerful cheap and quiet too

In my experience, those 3 things do not go together very often. Powerful, silent and cheap. I feel that you can get two of the three often, either quiet and cheap but no power, or powerful and cheap but it sounds like a beard trimmer. To get both powerful and silent, you wont get it cheap. At least, not cheap cheap anyway. It depends how quiet you want it to be though. There are plenty of average power, average noise toys that are cheap as chips. It's like with anything, if you want more, you pay more, if that makes sense. If you go cheap, you have to let some things slide, like noise, or quality or power.

Personally, I recommend the We-vibe tango. It is super powerful, discreet, small enough for the handbag and quiet too. (Not the most silent toy, but it is one of the strongest and can't be heard through a closed door, under the duvet.) It isnt so cheap though. :(

Ah sorry I seem to have missed the 'cheap' part! Hmm something powerful and cheap that's also quiet... Maybe you could go for this? http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=16603 I personally don't have it but I think a few people have mentioned it being good on the forum and it seems to have pretty good reviews. I'm not sure about the noise though because from experience the bigger the batteries the louder the vibrator and this one takes C batteries. Maybe someone who actually has one could comment on the noise though.

Also this http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26627 slightly more expensive but rechargeable so I imagine it would probably be quieter than the silencer?

Swoon cross my palm is pretty quiet and powerful, the Lelo Gigi is also quiet and powerful

I'd second PinkPolkaDot's suggestion of http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26627 (which I literally just got this morning, but it's already had a nice workout...) It's £20 at the moment - not as cheap as some, but you don't have to keep buying it batteries. (EDIT: I tell a lie: it's just gone on Daily Deal at £15!) It's about the size of a mascara, so it'd fit inside your makeup case (although I'd keep it in a seperate bag inside the case so it doesn't get messy). It's USB rechargable, which would probably be handy for travelling, and the USB end looks just like a memory stick so you can charge it openly without people realising what it is. It doesn't have a travel lock, but you can just take the two parts apart during transport.

It's also pretty quiet - definitely quiet enough to use when there's other people in the house. I'm not sure about using it in a bathroom, but that's going to be a tough one for any vibrator - the tiles are going to make any kind of noise even louder, and you can't use a duvet to muffle it or put on background noise. (I've just conducted an experiment in the interests of science and I think you could get away with the lowest setting at least, unless you have people actively standing outside the door eavesdropping on you!)

I am thirding the suggestion for today's DOTD - if I hadn't already bought myself a backup (as part of a special offer) I'd be very tempted. Brilliant little beast, not silent but pretty darn quiet, discreet, and the shape means there's quite a lot of variation in terms of how it feels when you're using it, as it has both softer and sharper edges, and a flexible but not too flexible tip. It isn't THE most powerful toy, but packs a punch, and for charging etc I don't think you could get much more discreet.

the silencer is really quiet, until the highest speed when you'll be worryng about your own noise rather than the vibe lol, but it's definitely not small! lol
