Sizing of lingerie and "every day" wear pieces

I’ve just done the dreaded bra shopping, and it got me thinking about some lingerie from LH. I have a couple of very definitely home wear only but would like some “suitable for date night meal with surprise” type (as opposed to the fluffy Santa bikini type thing)

But I’m struggling with sizing. I’m basically 14-16 so between the one size and queen and the pieces I like are sized as such. My main thing is boob support. Has anyone found some pieces that have the overall bra feel/support for 34DD/32E.

Really looking for your recommendations of fave pieces as I have a quarter cup set which I spill out of with any real movement and it offers 0 support so can’t really be a piece for an evening out.

I feel your pain.i have 34f boobs and a size 12 .my boobs have been bigger and smaller at various times .I have found basques are good for special date nights,especially with ones with attached suspenders for stockings .can be worn underneath a nice skirt or and a nice top.i love the quarter cup and half cup bras too like you but yes not at all good for stopping “the girls” trying to go walkabout lol.basques and corsets give me great support and hubby loves the look of me when I wear them.maybe try something like that

I find the lovehoney lingerie gives little support except when you choose a basque.

I highly recommend Cottelli brand - these support well and comfortable

May have to look at basques as an option. I’ve had the Lustful Liaison Navy Floral Lace Bra Set and the Seduce Me Push-Up Longline Bra Set in my maybe pile but it’s the sizing that is the doubt as it’s not as much fun to sort of have to sneakily change rather than having them underneath.

Have you sort of avoided the “one size” unless it’s a definite home wear thing? (I have the flaunt me open cup which is definitely a surprise at home piece) and I don’t mind the £10-15 for the more one off pieces but £30 for some lovely looking pieces (but unsure on fit) is a bit much. Fully aware I can buy, try and return but I’d end up buying so much just to return it :frowning:

It’s a total minefield .I have bought some one size stuff and it’s been perfect and some not at all.ive found basques always have fitted for some reason.
