Skins or Pasante condoms?

Going to start buying a different brand of condoms as durex seems to be so much more expensive than others. Which would you recommend out of Skins or Pasante? We plan on buying either regular or ribs and dots (never tried them before).

Never used either brand before but the my wife loves the ribs and dots effect.

I prefer Pasante as I've never had problems with them!

I didn't like skins, I'm not King Dong by any stretch, but I found them too thin and tight.

Pasante for me too.

Can you still get free condoms from the contraceptive nurse or does that stop after a certain age? If so might be a way to save on durex price?!

I think you can, but I've always been too embarrased to go to one of those clinics.

Haven't tried Pasante, but Skins are awful! http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26096 are our condoms of choice, they feel the same as durex feather lite or other thin ones.

Yes, sexual health clinics provide free condoms to anyone who wants them. The choice is limited, though, they're not carrying every brand possible. Don't be embarrassed to go, being sexually active is perfectly normal and healthy, most of the population are doing it, and using condoms is a responsible thing to do! Plus people go to those clinics for all sorts of reasons, like smear tests or other routine stuff. The nice thing about sexual health clinics is that they are never going to be judgemental about folks having sex, and they're happy to talk frankly about it. Whereas sometimes I've had GPs being embarrassed when I wanted to discuss medical issues relating to my sex life, although some of that might be the taboo about disabled people having sex. Speaking of GPs, they may be able to provide condoms too.

I like the EXS condoms, they fit me better than any other brand. Ive not used skins or pasante.

Never used skins. Pasante are good quality but Id just buy the regular variety. All other ones Ive tried were not worth extra money (though I got them free). I DESPISE the pasante delay ones and ADORE pasante glow in the dark. Durex are more expensive but I must admit they are my faves.

out of them id say pasante. But durex real feel are the best ones ive ever used!

Everyone seems to rate pasante but the OH and I found them kinda thick and inflexible... He didn't find them comfy!

I use condoms when I'm active on the swinging scene, and always use my own to give to the guys (and 8 times out 10, they 'forgot' to bring some). I have had pasante ones for free from the GUM clinic and none of the guys liked them. However, give them a mates Skyns (non latex) and they loved them. I like the barely there feel, but do have to reach down to check if the condom is on, that's how good they feel. I carry both sizes with me, just in case.

^Seconding Skyn with a y (part of the mates brand). They aren't cheap but definitely worth the extra. Lovehoney sell skyn (search skyn not skyns).

I absolutely hate pasante ( http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=624&reviewid=106980#customer_reviews ).

Hey Friday13

Thanks for your comment. I agree, Mates Skyn condoms are brilliant.

I've removed the mention of a competitor as technically it does break the rules. Sorry - I know you're only trying to help.

We also sell mega packs of 72, 100 and 144 condoms here - though I'm not sure how prices compare to the NHS.

Ive always gone Mates, as let down by breaking Durex on a couple of occasions. Just my 2pence :)

I love the 50sog foil packet ones. Thin enough to feel really good, but not flimsy enough to make you feel insecure about being safe.
