In our house it is as follows (I do the washing as the other half alwasy ends up ruining the load when she tries it)
-Normal clothes/towels/bedding on the washing line - i can usually get 3 or 4 loads onto the line as we have a very long garden
-My underwear, the other halfs day to day boring pants and ner nice frilly pants go into the tumble dryer, just how it has alwasy been done by my family and as i spent a lot of money on a all singing all dancing dryer im not letting it sit and collect dust
-Other halfs corsets/really delicate hand wash stuff/other halfs fututre outfits are dried in the bathroom on a clothes horse

Only here in the past hr, i think - telly box is on. I LOVE proper electric thunderstorms, once the leccys off there's nothing else to watch!!! Crap drying weather but we do need the rain!!
I've never hung my (not so) smalls on the washing line in all the 30 years we've been married!! When I hang them on the airer I don't put them near Hubby's either I can't bear the thought of them touching. My things have one side and his the other, do you think I need therapy lol?

I don't have outdoor space but I have a very big bedroom, so everything goes on airers in there. I'm moving to a place with a garden soon so everything will go outside then. I'm not fussed about the friends I live with seeing my undies, we're all very comfortable and discussing our favourite vibes and such isn't uncommon.
We usually hang our washing on 2 airers upstairs, sometimes we hang it outside especially when we have to drip dry my pvc clothing or her delicates, our fence has gaps in it so I don't really know if my next door neighbour or the people around the corner have ever seen any of it.
If my washing is in a secure, private property then I will hang them out but I usually dry them inside because I always think someone is going to pinch them.
Since we moved in with Mrs Simkers dad, we have had a few awkward moments when he tries to help. We do all the washing but he likes to hang things on the line. There have been a few naughty thinkgs in there.
Last thing was a tiny sweetheart costume that doest even lokk as though it will cover anything. We came back home to find these extremly small smalls with matching stockings on the line.
