Ugh, so relatable. I had one come on yesterday, a few hours after some slow oral - the “burning ball” sensation you speak of and a strong smell of ammonia when I pee. The oral was great, the UTI? Not so much. Fortunately two cystitis drinks have already had a big impact but I’m staying the course just to be sure.
@awkward-yet-sweet just doing some further reading on the UTI you mentioned, if you’re experiencing itchiness it’s likely to be a yeast infection, rather than a UTI. You can get pessaries, creams and tablets in the pharmacy to treat it but it’s really important that you and your partner/s all treat any symptoms you do have, otherwise you can end up ping-ponging an infection between yourselves and any other partners. Interesting that I’m not the only one who experienced increased arousal. What made me curious was how UTIs are usually described as feeling awful, and I didn’t experience that. But perhaps my body feels pain as pleasure more than many other people.
I got some antibiotics that seemed to clear everything up. Easy and cheap. I hadn’t thought about swapping it with my partners, but we’ll see if that happens.

Ive enjoyed urethral sounding for years but last year start of this i had 3 uti’s explaining to the 20+ female nurse how i got it was interesting as was the older female doc, having stopped for a while it still feels really nice as i said to the doc when she asked why i did it and how big was the sound rod, since then ive tried a different format, boil the sounds all types smooth ,steel ,ribbed ,centipede type and hollow silicone then steep in Milton bath for 30 mins prior to use, shower using Hibi scrub, gloves sometimes clean puppy pad, and glycerin free sterile lube, this seems to have prevented any issues even though the silicone hollow version is 35cm long so keep everything as clean as possible, given how much i played over the years im amazed i didn’t get infections before
