Hey Guys, I've been with LoveHoney for a while and have recently (3 or so months) have reallly gotten into rope bondage. I mainly got this in anime (Not only anime porn but just regular anime because, Japan?) and I've gotten more curious into trying it myself but not too sure where to start. I know there's ropes here and 1/2 books but does anyone have any outside information? Or possibly a better place to start?

When we started with rope and different ties we watched tutorials online, they walk you through it and ease you in to it, also makes sure you get it right :)
YouTube is your friend here but what I will say is invest in the best rope you can afford as it can be quite painful it is very important not to tie rope too tight so leave about 2 finger gap so circulation is not compromised. It is also a good idea to have safety scissors to hand just in case you cannot untie your knots quickly for any given reason for example cramp or an emergency situation.
We started out with bondage tape to help with technique and positioning to begin with and it does the job nicely until you know what you're doing.
Same as the others have said really. Watch plenty of tutorials and make sure you start with something nice and soft like cotton. Maybe educate yourself more about human anatomy too.
Got to say the bondage botique ropes and the Two Knotty Boys books are just amazing. Be really careful with random online tutorials and do reading about pressure points in rope bondage. Make sure you know where is and isn't okay to apply pressure for long or at all x
Depending on where you are based and how much you want to learn most town have a peer rope group within driving distance to them. Fetlife is a great place to find out where they are held. I go to one and it is fab. They are usually run by people are very knowledable about rope, and quite often attended by people who are also fountains of knowledge.
A lot of the YouTube tutorials are good, however a lot of the best videos (especially for Japanese ropework) are no longer available as the people who made them no longer let them go for free. Vimeo also has a lot of fab tutorials and less of the random ones to be honest.

As others have said a great place to start is youtube. I used various lengths of the black bondage boutique rope to make my own under-the-bed system. A great beginners knot which will negate the need for scissors on standby is the zip snare - a sliding knot that can be loosened in seconds by the rigger (great not just for safety, but for changing positions), but which is impossible for the sub to escape from by themselves.
Not sure if I'm allowed to post youtube links on the forum, but if you search for "How to tie the Zip Snare - Rope bondage knot tutorial", you'll find a video just over 2mins long, which I found invaluable.
If/when you're ready to progress to more intricate ropework, there are books you can buy, but check out the above first.

You can do some amazing things with just shoelaces alone. I fold the lace in half make a lasso, slip it over my cock and balls and then twist the rope a couple of times, pass it up between the testicles and tie off at the base of my cock or around the head. Feels amazing!
