Does anybody have any good tips for soundproofing a room or know how to mute the noise of sex toys that vibrate?
I've had knocks on the wall when using them so neighbours must be able to hear 😂😂😂

We just close the bedroom door and play some background noise such as Netflix or music. I have thin walls but have never had any problems!
Invest in some waterproof toys and take extended showers.
Yes the large egg trays are about the most perfect thing. Its the cheapest way to sound proof a recording studio. The onres that hold 40 eggs..
You need to find an egg wholesaler
Then your room will all 100% sound proof but look like the tardis inside. Lol
If I remember rightly egg trays used to be used.

I need sound proof wallpaper! I didn't even know that was a thing 😮
The reviews on the site look good, bit pricey though. Builders merchants normally stock slabs for soundproofing. You may need to build a stud wall to accomodat though. Really depends on how far you want to go with it.
The noise doesn't really bother us as most sex toys have a similar sound to an electric shaver or tooth brush .
But using them in the sheets will block out much of the noise .
Another way is to have some background noise such as the TV or music player .
I'd laugh so much if my neighbours knocked on the wall! Perhaps they wanted to come in?!!
Soundproofing wallpaper, I can't believe it! I might get some!!
Well we can hear the couple next door to us plain as day so i'm sure they can hear us too :)
Never mind :) :)
They do, I have thought about that but when they are on for hours at a time at silly hours of the night, only so much shaving and brushing you can do 😂😂😂 I've tried under the sheets but it's still noisy. I have 3 wands, loads of vibrators, bullets and other things so lots of noisemysteron wrote:

The egg shell boxes is a great idea but not really practical. It's a small room already and I would need to do the floor too which isn't possible

It's okay when the OH is there, easier to get away with but when my neighbours know I'm home alone most of the time, it's not the best situation with being a male haha Problem is I'm in a terraced converted to a flat so have 3 neighbours. Bottom and both sides*sexybabe* wrote:

Does the soundproofing wallpaper actually work? :)
Just read it, sound like it just reduces the noise rather soundproofing
Come on - neighbours are a pain sometimes. I lived next-door to house association terraced property full of guys who were always drinking beer, screaming at football games, partying, fighting and playing loud music all the time. That's disturbing, not a noise of a few adult toys, perhaps they are jealous - lol!

You can get 2-3" thick sheets of polystyrene 8x2 but would require "some" installation. makes me wonder how thick the wall is or isn't?
Double thickness old red brick wirh no cavity , turn of the 20th century cottages . Must be around 110 years plus old
I wouldn't be too bothered if I heard my neighbours having sex! It's just make me more horny!
Though it'd be different if the parents were round and they could hear them too, that may be a bit awkward!
If you own the house and it really bothers you, replace the plaster on the walls connected to your neighbours in your bedroom with plasterboard backed with insulation sheeting. This is an expensive option, but a permanent solution.
Alternatively a little background noise like NatandTom suggested. If it persists post some earplugs through next doors letterbox with a not saying "for Saturday evening" or something of the like, just to make a bit of a joke of things.
