Stinging after using cock sleeve

So me and the other half brought The Vixen Colossus - https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=41113

It’s amazing the best one we own by far, however after using it twice in 2 days i have a stinging sensation in my nether regions, similar to a UTI. Which is surprising we’ve used 2 other sleeves both (PVC & Soft plastic) and never had anything like this.

Any idea what could be causing it?
Lube isn’t out of date so we are stumped.

Allergic reaction to the material?

It could be a number of different things, and may not even be related to the toy! It also depends where you’re feeling the burning of that makes sense? Whether it’s internally or externally.

Burning sensation can also just be an outcome of “vigorous” sex which tends to heal by itself in about a week.

Another thing to make sure is that you’re cleaning toys with fragrance free soap/cleaner otherwise this can irritate.

Obviously it may be something else and so I’d recommend going and getting it checked out if it continues by sexual health services

It’s silicon which would be a little wierd but as fair as i known I’m not allergic to it. We have other silicon toys and don’t believe we had any issues.

“vigorous” sex would make sense it’s a massive cock sleeve after all so yeah. I’ll monitor it over the next few days, it’s like healing but pretty wierd.

Burning sensation is internally.

This is the cleaner we use - https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=31584

Yep, I’ve had it on quite a few occasions. It’s so frustrating because it always feels good in the moment but afterwards not so good!

In the first uses perhaps try a little more lubricant than usual to ease you into it

Using Pjur Med’s Personal Cleansing Spray on all my toys and myself pre/post sex has been a huge help in staving off UTIs. A quick spritz of this after your toy is washed out will kill any nasties that might have survived washing.

Using a lube that’s bio-static may also help. I know Liquid Silk is one and I think I’ve seen a few others on Lovehoney but I can’t remember which ones, sorry.

If you only get a stinging sensation after using this toy it could just be the physical after-effect. You may just need to get used to it. A hybrid lube (Liquid Silk has a little silicone in it) is nicely slippery but doesn’t have so much silicone in it that it would damage a silicone toy might make a bit of a difference, too. You could try Lovehoney’s Crave is also a hybrid or you could use one designed for anal sex as these are more cushiony.

Keeping your bladder fairly full so you can pee before and after sex is another helpful trick for flushing out any lurking nasties. Make sure you empty your bladder fully afterwards.

I feel your pain. Literally. I’ve had two UTIs this year but I have to take antibiotics for mine as infections can trigger a relapse in my condition. Always keep an eye on yourself for a few days if you think you’ve had a mild UTI, even if it’s gone. It can turn into a kidney infection so watch out for a bit of a back pain or temperature and get to the GP quickly if you develop one.
