Hi all, I have a major issue with stockings as they just roll down (even when secured) they still roll and its driving me mad as I then look stupid and keep having to unroll them which doesn't help 😔 I am not the smallest girl and find hold ups better but there is not as much choice as there are in stockings... Am I the only one with this issue???? 😕

I don't know if it would work for you, but those plastic clips on modern suspenders are crap in my view.
I feel your pain Bex84, my postcode-spanning thighs prove way too much of a challenge for many a pair of LH stockings. Not the sexiest look ever, the tops rolling down around the clasps. 🙄

I wear stockings very regularly, almost daily, and nearly always for work. As Mira says, a good suspender belt is key. I recommend six straps with metal sliders and clasps and preferably not a narrow fit belt. Whilst very occasionally one will come undone, you have the added benefit of two others for each stocking. I find that sitting the belt above my hips tends to help keep everything secure, as does ensuring that the rear straps are not so tight that they’ll ping open when you sit down. Hope that helps.
Exactly, that's why I have used hold ups in the past as generally they don't roll as much but can still wear them like suspenders. I just have thunder thighs lol 😂Gosig wrote:

My OH has a decent pair of thighs, and is forever moaning that hold-ups cut off her circulation, very frustrating!
Ok this needs to go in as a request to LH 😁 better stockings and hold ups for big thighs xx
I agree Bex, there`s a fine line between normal and plus size, that many don`t want to admit exists!

Whilst my thighs do span slightly fewer postcodes than they used to, they are still multi-postcode. I have to admit I've tried LH ones, and they are never long enough as well as wide enough - it is always one or the other. I have to buy mine from (looks around to check no one else is listening) somewhere else! Sorry LH, I'd buy them from you if they fitted, but you (like most retailers) don't sell them both long enough and wide enough.

I always leave reviews for the stockings and hold-ups to hopefully warn others about the sizing. I’m a size 16, now I always order the plus-size/ queen sizes, some fit a treat, some are still too small around the band at the top, I end up with thigh muffin-tops! There is just a lack of consistency with the fit and labelled sizing, nothing specific to LH about that I know, I just hope my reviews are useful to others with thick thighs.
There are a couple of six strap suspender belts on here. I did post in the Pander To Me thread a wish to stock more variety but it seems that they were not that popular. We sourced from an alternate supplier and my OH has not experienced any rolling down issues.
I have this problem too. Getting the stockings for larger girls helps, using hold-ups and a suspender belt together helps, but the thing I found really made the big difference is using dress tape - the double sided tape for keeping clothes in the right place (also known as Toupee Tape/Wig Tape) It's a fairly fussy measure to go to, but combined with all of the above, it works; even on my thunder thighs!
I will be having a look at the 6 strap belts and get some metal clasped straps too 😊
