Stopped taking cerelle but still spotting?

So I have been taking cerelle for the last 4 or 5 months and this last month has been awful. Constant depression, loads of anxiety and worst of all, bleeding like it is the last day of my period. I have been bleeding for 30 days now. I stopped taking cerrelle a week ago now since I am not sexually active at the moment and I just thought what was the point because I was absolutely struggling. I am still spotting/bleeding and I am worried this won’t go away? I was spotting on the implant also but that spotting went away within 3 days. If you have taken the mini pill and stopped taking it, how long did the spotting last for you and when do you think I should contact the doctor?

I think that it is sensible thar whenever you have any concern about your health then you should seek medical advice. If for nothing else it will give you reassurance.

I’m confused. I thought you had a coil fitted a couple of months ago? Why are you taking a pill as well? That would explain your symptoms

I had it fitted but it fell out during the first week unfortunately so i kept on taking the pill.

I bled for a month constantly when I first started taking it, so maybe it’s the same when you come off it? I’m still on it, so can’t comment on if this is normal.

I would definitely speak to the doc, just got reassurance

I used to take Cerazette (same synthetic hormone) and I had many of the symptoms you mention but moreso non-stop periods than spotting, and my anxiety was off the charts. I thought I was going crazy until we realised it could be my new pill messing with my moods.

I now take Norgeston (levonorgestrel) and I’m much better. Ask to swap, it doesn’t sound like this brand works for you and it’s not worth suffering. Good luck!
