Not sure if this would belong in sex toys or lingerie but here it is:
I am in clothes between UK sizes 8 and 10.
My waist measurement fluctuates between 27.5-28.5. inches, normally around 28 inches I guess.
My hip measurement is 36.5-37 inches.
There aren’ts many review on the product that mention sizing and out of those none refer to the smaller sizes. I don’t know if it is better to size down for a tight fit or will that be uncomfortably tight at the waist.
Any input?

If you’re between two sizes, the manufacturer recommends that you choose the smaller one for a snug fit.
The waistband of the harnesses is elasticated, so it will naturally adjust to your body and still offer good support and comfort.
We sourced the following S-O-M harnesses Waist and Hip sizes:-
Strap-On-Me Size Chart
SMALL: UK 8-10
Waist: 26”-27”
Hips: 36”- 37”
MEDIUM: UK 12-14
Waist: 28”-29”
Hips: 38”-39”
LARGE: UK 14-16
WAIST: 30”-33”
HIPS: 40”-43”
So, from the details of your hip / waist measurements (provided in your post), it would look as though a S-O-M Heroine harness in Small is the better size.
You could also consider consulting LH Customer Services for their helpful, excellent advice.
