Strapless can always be an issue
I recommend the spare parts harness’s and personally use the vixen skins dildos
These work best for us.
I use the pants as nice and comfortable and the dildo is held at a better angle
I now use these as sexy for my bottom and they hold the dildo well

Is it actually too low or does it just feel weird for your wife? I remember thinking it was too low when I got my harness and I expected it to sit a bit higher up, but the harness sits in the same place a penis would. I did get used to it mind and it was grand after a while.
The harness brief style may feel more comfortable for her.

It needs to sit on your partners pubic bone, higher than the position on a male, then some height adjustment you and her maybe required say her on a cushion or you on the bed her standing you doggy knees on a cushion, a bit experimentation will be required to get the best position?
