I think it there was a safe way to do this then tape for this purpose would be sold either through lovehoney or via more fetishy based online stores. The fact it isn't speaks volumes I think.
Sometimes we have to accept there are things we want to do explore, but in order to do so we have to adjust our desires. I've let people gag me with all sorts, but no way is anyone ever putting tape over my mouth.
I also saw mention of knickers in the mouth and tape over the top, the thought of this happening is terrifying, it could go so horribly wrong.
I wonder could you wrap tape around a gag that is fit for purpose? So you have the safety of the appropriate gag, but the look of the tape.
I have used bondage tape as a gag before it worked perfectly. x
