None, despite 10 yrs in the military and on the odd occaision very very drunk!
Am afraid tattoo's are one of those things I just don't get; dont get me wrong, some are pure works of genius and quite spectacular (Met a guy once who had a tat based on H.R. Giger's 'Necronomicon' over his back- fantastic) but I would have prferred it on a canvas.
I have about 13 tattoos in all. I'm trying to design a spoon with a blue ribbon around it for M.E awareness and the spoon theory (Google spoon theory if interested). I'm very addicted to tattoos, but it always finding the money to get them done!
I've given up with counting my tattoos now, they're all merging together!
My right arm is a sleeve made up of all sorts of colourful tattoos (still not quite finished though!)
The top half of my back has a pirate mannequin lady on it. I have a key behind my right ear, and a locket behind the left. A bluebird on each shoulder / chest. Leopard print from my left knee to my hip. A Tim Burton bat on each wrist. Stars on my left foot, my toes are tattoeed.... uhh.... I think that's everything..... so far!
She has a wild rose on her bottom (her 'namesake' tattoo as per our profile image, left) , a dragonfly on a shoulder and a celtic band on her other arm. He has a triskele on one leg, a Thor's hammer on his back, a tribal on one arm and an image from the Sutton Hoo treasure on the other arm.
Her son has a wonderful full arm cover of dragons and his girlfriend has a full arm leopard-skin cover, both look amazing; we're tempted but perhaps too old for ones like this!
I love tattoos but only have one so far. But I'm gonna get more. I have a pair of angel wings with dad in the middle on my lower belly. Kit above my knicker line. :)
I love my tats, I have three so far, I do have to say I want a cover up on a tattoo that I have. Just in the process of trying to get someone to design it, saving up to have it done in the shop but my inital tattoist has moved to a different country now, and don't feel especially comfortable getting someone new to design it my friends aren't the most artistic and I can'teven draw a circle that looks half decent lol.

any decent artist will be ok to design a cover up , take them some reference pics and describe what elements you like from each and they should be able to design you something beautiful .
I have one tattoo on my shoulder - butterfly and flowers. Am getting another one done as soon as the tattooist gets back to me with the design then I'm going to work on the next one :) i'd love an old fashioned sailor type tattoo but dont think it would suit me lol

Thanks hun! Yeah I just need to get around to going into one! I always feel really uncomfortable asking them to design something, like I'm putting them out or something! lol
I hark back to an age when tattooists weren't necessarily considered artists and you had to queue rather than make a very expensive apointment, consequentially I could never be bothered to queue..
I really fancy a clever sort of see through patch on my back/shoulder showing clockwork/steampunk style gears inside. I don't quite know how to approach an artist to describe what I want. though I do have a picture on my tumble of a lady with a backpiece in sort of thestyle I'd like.
I've got a Chinese dragon on my right upper arm, a Chinese symbol on my right inner hip just north of the grass ;), a tribal butterfly between my shoulder blades and an ambigram on my lower back which reads "work hard" forwards and "carpe diem" backwards.
Mine are black so I'm thinking about adding some colour. I've seem some beautiful lilies I'd like to have coming over my left shoulder - they have no outline so they kinda look like they're done in watercolour. I've also reserved the back of my neck for something dedicated to my hubby and us getting married, I just haven't found the right thing yet.

just say what you said here , its not an uncommon tattoo idea so most tattooists will know what youre on about immediately
Ive got two tattoos, on my shoulder blade i have a heart with my eldest two childrens names round it. I got that done about 8yrs ago, then 2 weeks back i walked in to the tattooist and was able to get 9 stars down my right hand side. I have one larger star, 4 smaller stars and 4 even smaller stars, the tatooist positioned them perfectly. They represent my 4children, my 4 miscarriges and my missed-miscarriage.
I want another one doing but my friend who turned up part way through has ruined my reputation in the tatooists, she herself has about 4 tattoo's told the artists they didt need to be able to draw. I was devestated, i wanted the ground to open up and swallow me, thankfully he still did a good job on my art work and i appologised for her comment.
tattooists deal with a lot of assholes almost daily . geebee , i doubt very much the person doing your tttoo will bother to remember your friend , let alone hold a grudge against a paying customer for someone elses comment . i certainly wouldnt . just dont take your idiot mate along with you next time ;)
