TENS vs EMS shocks

Was experimenting the other night with a Piezo from a lighter, this was ok, but a bit hit and miss as the contact and the click had to be made simutainsly. Been trying to make a zapper from a camera flash, not the full neon capicitor may i add. So came to the TENs vs EMS, which have you tried and which do you find best?

Sorry couldn't edit post.

All I can weigh in is that I wanna tens or violet wand but can't afford it and would definitely not f**k about with electricity that wasn't designed specifically for humans to use.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Your profile states you're getting into pain- are you trying to get the more painful element of e-stim from these items? I've never used EMS but have used TENS and you'll get no pain from that, it's designed to reduce pain and isn't capable of giving the zaps an e-stim unit would give.

I'd also say it'd be a good idea to cease messing with electrical items. E-stim is expensive to get into, but safety first would dictate you buy a properly designed e-stim device if that's what you're trying to go for with your home made items. There are other ways to experience pleasurable pain than e-stim though. Where are you trying to zap? Could you apply a clamp there? A quick slap with a small but stingy spanking implement, such as a wooden ruler? Is it an area that's safe to be inflicting any kind of pain using objects?

Lesson one in BDSM is safe, sane, consensual. Consensual isn't an issue if you're doing this to yourself (?), sane is hard to define without context (you are trying to inflict sensual pain not cause harm?) but this certainly doesn't sound safe.

Jonboy, I'm with MondaySixteenth on this, don't mess about wth anything electrical even something that may seem safe. You put yourself at risk of shock, nasty burns and more. My grandfather was an electrician and one thing I learned from him is do not mess with any form of electricity wether it be mains or battery powered. Electricity can be fatal if used incorrectly.

Stay safe, save your money and buy something that has been authorized, inspected and thoroughly tested.

I'd also recommend specialist forums on places like fetlife with people who know their shit on electrosex. It's a more hardcore BDSM area.

Tens machines can work great with a bit of experimenting. The feeling is spread over the pad, so cutting the pad smaller concentrates it all on a smaller area. This can be extremely uncomfortable/painful if that's what you're into.
Try and get a machine with as many different patterns as you can.

TENS most definitely can be painful! It depends of the placement of the pad and the pulse frequency and duration. I enjoy a fair amount of pain but TENS had me begging for it to stop. I do have nerve issues in the area that had the most painful response which may have had something to do with it but even in other areas it ranged ranged from tingly to mildly stabby to get that thing off me!

I'd definitely recommend buying something which is intended for use on the body. E-stim would probably be the best option as it is intended for erotic stimulation but if that's out of your price range, TENS units can be picked up at a reasonable price and there are attachments you can use with them.

Well was looking for more of a pain of naughtiness, so like when your spanked that type of pain, a quick burst of 'owch must obey'. The piezo from a lighter is quite a good little zap, but i can totaly agree with friday13 that a tens machine can be quite intense, as i've used one before but never a EMS. Maybe the TENS might be worth a shot.

I totaly understand the power of electrics, and battery can still be deadly, but i'm not wanting to push the limits to the extreme, and no pacemaker onboard.

Kind of saying where i want to be going with this is not to the torture side but close. I think i might stick with a TENS and like spidercouple mentions to play with pad size.

Lovebirds_x, no not to myself, but i like to test on myself to know where the limits are, safe, why yes, i dont like to leave marks or wounds unless asked.
