Tester items that are already discontinued?

Hi! I noticed that for some of the tester items that will be sent out soon, it says ''Hurry! This discontinued item won't be restocked!''. It seems weird that LH (or any seller) would try to get reviews for items they won't be restocking. Why not invest in items they can keep on selling for years, instead?

I hope that Brenna or someone else from the LH crew can enlighten me. The answer might be really simple and obvious, but I might be missing it (happens sometimes, don't judge!)

It tends to say that when stock is limited. I think it's a way to.see if they should stock it for longer. Not entirely sure in that though.

My guess is that they've got boxes of the stuff in the warehouse they need to shift and are hoping to get a few more positive reviews to drum up some sales. 🙂

No idea if that's true or not. 🙂

Hey there! We noticed that those products didn't have many reviews and we want to see what the opinion of them is. If they are loved we might consider bringing them back and on the other hand if they aren't then we know not to stock them again. Your reviews are just as helpful to us here at HQ as they are to other customers!

There was a mass discussion of it ages ago with Leanne and that's all I remembered. Thankfully Brenna has clarified it further.

Thank you for chiming in, Brenna! That sounds very reasonable and like a smart move (to the average person, as I'm no expert.)

I know that you value customer reviews, no matter if it's by someone who purchased the item or got it as a tester. That's one of the (many) things I love about LH!
