Testing

So peeps - I might be being thick here, but how do you go about getting toys to test?

Do Lovehoney just select random forumonites?

I've written a number of 'decent' reviews (well I think so) do they randomly select people and you get an email?

I have a public wishlist etc...

Sorry for being dense :)

Have a look at this page :)

You need to create a public wishlist called 'Sex Toy Testers' and the only include items from the Tester list.

Check out this page http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/community/testers/ if you want to be considered for testing you need a public wishlist called Sex Toy Testers which must only included products from the tester page there are ten's of thousands of people who want to be testers so don't expect something straight away

this guide on how to write reviews http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/blog/2012/05/17/how-to-write-a-great-product-review/ will give you tips on how to improve your reviews people with thorough informative reviews are more likely to get testers

Hey Richy

That's great that you're keen to be a sex toy tester, and that you've already reviewed a bunch of toys for us - thank you!

As the others have said, to be considered for free products to review, we recommend you check out the links above and make sure you keep your 'Sex Toy Testers' wishlist up to date (eg. remove old items, add new ones, and make sure you only ever add things which you can definitely review for us).

It's a good idea to keep an eye on the 'Inside Lovehoney' section of the forum too. Cazz often posts threads here for toys which need testing, but haven't launched on the website yet.

It's also very important you keep your postal address up to date in your account as we'll always send any toys to your default shipping address. We don't email you ahead of time to ask you if it's right - we just send!

For extra ideas on what we look for in reviews, you might like to browse the 'Review of the Month' blogs, as these are our selection of our favourite reviews for the month. Here is this month's: "Look no further..." - Review of the Month, October 2014

Other than that, just make sure your spelling and grammar is as good as possible (spell checking goes a long way), tell us as much as you can about your experience with the toy/lingerie, and (most importantly) tell us whether you would recommend the product to anyone else (and who).

Here are a few points I always think about when writing a review:

- What's the packaging like?
- First impressions of the product? (Build-quality, look and feel)
- Is it easy to use?
- How did it make you feel?
- Did you use it with your partner? What did they think?
- Who would this product suit?
- Is there anything else you think a potential buyer should know?
- Would you recommend it to someone else?
Good luck!
