I have just picked up a copy of Kink Stories edited by R.O Kwon and Garth Greenwell; it is a compilation of 15 fictional stories all focusing different kinks.
I’ve heard good things so I am hoping it will be worth the read 
Hi! I know this thread is a few years old but I just wanted to say that I absolutely love seeing people talk about different books they’ve enjoyed, I’ll definitely have to check out some of the ones mentioned in this thread! (:
I’ve been reading quite a lot recently, not erotica (unfortunately!) And I’d love to share a couple of them with you:
- I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream: Harlan Ellison
- my favourite book at the moment, very short and to the point but also very spooky and well written. The entire book feels like a bit of an acid trip. Slowly learning how unreliable the narrator is makes me question absolutely everything that happens in the book. The novel takes place in a post apocalyptic world where an Ai has taken over and killed all humans apart from five, which he keeps alive and tortures them for his own amusement. -There’s a 40 minute audio version on YouTube, give it a listen it’s amazing!
- All Tomorrows: C.M. Kösemen
- A relatively new piece of fiction, where a god-like alien race turns all of humanity into weird little (or big) creatures. The book features some amazing art work as well, the world building is spectacular and I really found myself invested in all the individual races. I might be slightly biased towards this one as I’m a little bit obsessed with space and aliens (hence the username haha).
- The Gift Of Fear: Gavin de Becker
- This book had me in pieces. In short the book is a commentary on trusting your gut instincts. The book touches on some issues that are very much relevant in today’s society and there’a quite a lot of stuff that I have personally experienced. I recommend that everyone reads this book.
- Tom clancy’s Jack Ryan/John Clark series (books 1-10)
- The books are quite basic and there’s not really any deeper underlining meaning but I think they’re fun. I love a little bit of war action and these books served it to me on a silver plate! I’ve always pictured Jack Ryan in my head as a little scrawny guy for some reason
- A Brave New World: Aldous Huxley
-I’m halfway through this one so far, so I won’t comment too much on it yet. I’m really enjoying it so far, I’ve always been so fascinated by genetic engineering and the fact that Huxley was writing about it in the 1930e is amazing!

Any sci-fi nerds in the house? I’ve just finished reading Asimov’s Nemesis - after guiltily staring at it on the bookshelf for about 20 years. It was alright…slow burn with a reasonable pay-off.
Just started Neuromancer…(having enjoyed watching “The Peripheral” on Prime)…it’s decent so far, but quite a bit of assumed knowledge of the world that he’s trying to build. But then I appreciate him not being too heavy on the exposition either…

I’m also a huge sci-fi nerd, I’ve read a bit of Isaac Asimov’s work and have read bits here and there of Nemesis. I really liked it, there’s a good amount of suspense and it’s quite charming. Of course, I’m massively biased because I love all things space. If you haven’t already I recommend All Tomorrows, it’s a relatively new novel but I absolutely adore the world building and all the different characters we get to learn about throughout it!

The War of the Worlds by HG Wells
Excellent original story, not the best of men unfortunately. But don’t gate the book for that reason.

Favourite book (I’m going to cheat and name a series) is the Expanse series of books. (the TV-series was also excellent - especially their portraly of the fli & burn technique for “gravity” in space). What about you?

I absolutely am obsessed with “I have no mouth but I must scream” at the moment, it’s a little bit of sci fi mixed with body horror- my favourite! 
I’ve just started reading “Blood Meridian” as I keep getting it recommended to me. It’s okay, a bit meh so far. I really don’t like McCarthy’s writing style if I’m being honest, I read “The Road” a few years back and I HATED the lack of punctuation, the plot and dialogue also felt a bit sloppy

Expanse sounds really interesting, I’ve seen the set a couple times at my local library but never really paid much thought. I’ll definitely have to check it out, sounds really good!
