No rush, don’t worry!

Welcome to the Great Hump Day Quiz!
We’re always trying to add more people to our quiz gang, so check out how to hide your answers, pop them in a post, and I’ll add you to the Scoreboard.
We also have an answer template you can copy and paste now too.
Where do the questions come from?
I found a mysterious old box of trivial pursuit, with even more trivial pursuits stuffed inside. It is a treasure trove of quiz questions, and all of them really old. Perfect fodder for a Hump Day special.
Piecing together a few bits and bobs, there were three sets, and a couple of the instructions. One is a Genus Edition, dated 2001, and the other the 20th Anniversary one, 2004. There’s also another old style board and questions in there that looks/smells quite a bit older. That’s the box they’re all stuffed in, and that has ©1983 printed on it. No instructions, so not sure if that’s accurate. That one says it’s a Master Game Genus Edition.
(Edit: Now with an added sprinkling of more recent questions too )
So, there you go. It’s a bit random, but it should add to the fun.

Just don’t come for my potato crown I’ve won it fair and square from @Craig1234 and I plan to keep it!
All entries are most welcome. It’s mainly for fun, so I wouldn’t worry too much about the scores. Though it turns out the King Edward Potato crown for last place is proving to be more desirable than many of the other awards.
(and here’s an example of a results post, if you’ve not seen one already )
Don’t you worry, some weeks I’ll get it back!!! The questions have just been right up my brain cell alley
My answers (actually completed earlier but the forum threw a hissy fit and wouldn’t post them).
💙 Geography
- Sounds European, what are the peaks in the Alps? I’ve been near Mont Blanc but don’t recognise the name so will assume not there and will try the Matterhorn? (As I can’t think of any other peaks
and people talk about conquering the Matterhorn don’t they? )
- It’s fish of some sort. My food knowledge is terrible but I have definitely come across this in other quizzes.
- Octagon
- I have no idea, and it’s sciencey so I probably should know - Um, Zurich is quite techy, maybe there?
- Got to be Japan surely?
💗 Entertainment
- Is Bullitt a cartoon character? Um, something in the wacky races?
- Does such a thing as a Canadian Rapper exist? Try Eminem but I’m pretty sure he’s American
- Ooh, don’t remember this bit
- Fly My Pretties?
-
A Big One?
- Laurel and Hardy
💛 History
- Plaid Cymru
- Hmm, Queens are much easier… Elizabeth II then Victoria… King’s… it’ll be one of the George’s probably but I can’t remember numbers
- Gandhi?
- Bonn?
- Hands… as in throw down the Gauntlett
💩 Art and Literature
- Ballet
- Nelson Mandela
- Know he lived in Oxford for a while, I think Kent too so probably somewhere coastal there… is Ramsgate a place in Kent?
- Is Figaro the Barber of Saville?
- The Fox - Sour Grapes
💚 Science and Nature
- 6… though actually a little less than 6
- I think a giraffe has the same number as us, 32… surely the others have less!
- Apollo 17, early 70s
- The Cheetah
- Universal Serial Bus
🧡 Sprot and Leisure
- Not Arsenal or Chelsea… who else is in London?.. Tottenham Hotspur?
- I have heard it’s something to do with flight through the air so I guess reduce drag?
-
Horseradish was popular in Ye olde days, so I’ll guess that? …Though Mustard probably was too. Oh well, 50:50 but take my first answer.
- Ronnie O’Sullivan?
- Purple and Gold with Red sleeves and a Black hat - much more ornate than most racing colours and the first Sprot and Leisure that I actually know today!
The quiz took depressingly little of the waiting room time up but that’s okay because it let me do today’s Wordle, Lewdle and Nerdle and type up most of a new Rebus Puzzle (that will appear in FlickLit first due to utilising the MathJax plugin) and then via pictures here if anyone wants a go. The Rebus is easier than most of the previous ones I think. I also quite liked today’s quiz questions (I hope ) - thanks @Ian_Chimp !
I think I need to re-mark 5 due to new information. God damn trivial pursuit cards. *shakes fist*
Oh dear, what does the card say? I didn’t know any of the other Sprot questions (though am pretty sure which my other point is) but
5 I know! (I mean it’s gold braiding on purple main colour rather than blatent purple and gold block colour but that’s why it’s so recognisable, definitely red (or maybe called crimson?) sleeves.)
Annoyed about though - thought I had all of those. C’est la vie. Oh well
