My Answers… quite a few guesses!

💙 Geography
  1. Denmark
  2. Yearning in huddled masses… must be an orgy! Odd thing to have written on the statue of liberty but no other obvious answer so must be that.
  3. Certain to be wrong but go for the obvious… The Angel Falls
  4. Cardiff :woman_shrugging:t2:
  5. Florence
💗 Entertainment
  1. Sidney Poitiere (sp?)
  2. Bruce Almighty
  3. The Nag’s Head
  4. Never heard of him, guessing Twister as a breezy movie
  5. Max De Winter is in Rebecca so that, not seen film though.
💛 History

  3. Nellie Melba Toast
  4. The Bible :woman_shrugging:t2:

💚 Science and Nature

  2. Jupiter
  3. I think though semantics and could well be wrong that 2 miles squared = 4 Square miles so 2 miles squared is bigger?
  4. Soggy? :woman_shrugging:t2:

🧡 Sprot and Leisure

  2. It’s not yellow… pink?
  3. I know a double Birdie is an Eagle and 3 under is an Albatross, don’t know a double bogey… let’s assume it takes the same pattern as unders and say, 2 over is a Menstruation? Pretty sure 3 over would then be Pus :joy:
  4. The base line. Or maybe service line. How long is a tennis court? :thinking: (Do I get a half if one of those is right or do I have to pick one?)
  5. Alan Shearer is the only Newcastle player I can name but seems unlikely.

So, this week’s Hump Day winners are… :drum::drum::drum:

@MsSubExperimenter and
@Peitho :trophy::tada:

Congratulations!

And @Jacob0098 gets a special :cherries: award for their very first Hump Day Quiz. Hopefully the first of many. :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

(And I did not give a half mark for anyone who tried to cram in two guesses for one question @Peitho :slightly_smiling_face:)

That is rather unfortunate, especially as it was so close at the top. But you still got to share the podium, so it’s not all bad. :slightly_smiling_face:

:green_heart:3 was a straight up maths question.

Q. What’s the difference between two square miles and two miles squared?

A. Two square miles

But everybody answered in a random format. :slightly_smiling_face: Initially @FL45H got a half mark for ‘2’, as it was the right number, but no ‘square miles’. And after that, rather than actually work out what the question was asking, I just stuck to ‘Is it the answer on the card? Yes/No’ and thought I’d fix it later. :slightly_smiling_face:

So, ultimately, anybody who included the right (ish) maths ended up getting a full point. :+1:

Yeh, the right answer does agree with mine so I’m happy but I still think it’s a question of semantics.
