Just been reading the local news online and found out that Wolverhampton council have named one of it’s new gritting lorries…Noddy Colder!
I wonder if anyone’s told Noddy about it yet?
I hope so, but i think he lives in much posher Cheshire now!
Ah right, they probably don’t name their gritters after members of glam rock bands there!
Gary Gritter?
Not sure anyone would have the nerve for that one!
I agree, just couldn’t resist it!
I bet the name would soon get changed if anybody actually did do it.
Definitely! Similarly nobody has used a certain band beginning with L in the A-Z of bands.
Love the humour that had gone into all the names around the country… gritty mcgritty, nitty gritty, snowball, and so many more that I can’t remember! The trouble is that seen so many in the last few weeks!!! Bring on the sunshine!!
There is a web site you can go on that list all gritter names
Off to Google…
Wonder if there’s one called Gritty McGritter?
I would put money on it!
Best ones I found were Gritty McGritface, Gritney Spears and Gritallica
One of the new local ones was Gritmore Reans for Whitmore Reans.
There was me thinking you meant “Noddy Colder” as in Enid Blytons Noddy with a cold bell end…
Oh dear
Noooo Noddy from Slade, local hero!
Think I’d rather have my Noddy as long as he brings Big Ears…bet those ears come in handy to keep him in the right spot.
No wonder his ears are pointed, all that tugging on them!
