@sharbur I read your question about the implant when I was at work earlier but didn’t have time to reply then and have just seen you’ve deleted the topic… I thought I’d just pop my response here though in case it’s helpful to you.

I used the implant for 6 years (when for bone density reasons because I’d been on it a long time they took me off Depo). I had a lot of spotting, usually brown, red but not proper period discharge during my period time of the month, my body, hormones wise definitely still experienced periods. I’m type 1 diabetic and my required insulin ratios always went up for a few days before my period. It was a sure sign it was coming albeit much lighter than on no hormonal contraception.

Not sure if that answers your question or not but it was my experience when I had the implant.

My Friday started off fine, until I bumped into my abusive ex in the garage, while I had my eldest and youngest (taking him to nursery) I thought my heart would literally burst out my chest, I hadn’t seen him since hubby got me away from him. I just felt so, to be honest I don’t know what I felt, I just wanted to go (our daughter doesn’t know anything about my past) I’ve never wanted my hubby so much, but hearing his voice helped.
