Don’t mind me, just testing basic things:

is this going to be small
is this going to be big
can I use stars without them formatting the text

Edit: can’t use stars without it formatting but the others work (and worked out how to get italics and bold for the same text by accident - yay)

I feel like there’s a way I can trick it into doing *sigh*, but I’m having a brainfart :slightly_smiling_face:

*goes to get chargers out*

I’ve gone to use them a couple of times either side

So like…

  • goes to get chargers out * (as in the doing action - but with stars next to text) but it always just makes it italics! It’s not a biggie but thought I’d see if there was a way I could do it…

Edit: it’s not even worked with the spaces :joy::joy:

I have a longish way. :slightly_smiling_face: You can use the code for ‘asterisk’ * and that works. :+1:

So

*goes to get the chargers out*

becomes

*goes to get the chargers out*

I use ½ ½ so often that’s it’s in my suggested words. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yay - thank you @Ian_Chimp… Will save that code :ok_hand:t2:

*goes to get charger out*

This is simply:

\*goes to get charger out\*

A backslash in front of any of this basic coding negates the coding and prints it as normal text. That’s how I was doing it in my earlier example :white_check_mark:

You can use it for any of the coding [b] hfufu or <b> hfuf

And well well done on the pictures @Ian_Chimp !

That’s what I was trying. :slightly_smiling_face: I kept getting a / mark showing up. I think I was wrapping it rather than preceding it. I got confused.

I did not solve the pictures in the end. I did find out a few new tricks though, so not a complete bust. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you were getting a / then you were using the wrong slash… \ and no space before coding gives the result you’re after :white_check_mark:

Afraid the picture stuff was just confusing me :woman_shrugging:t2:

Ah yes, that slash is not as accessible on my phone keypad. The backtick caught me out the same. :slightly_smiling_face:

I got the pictures working, but when I came back the forum had converted into a regular link. :man_shrugging:

You can blur photos though. :+1:

Love that, sure we’ll find a useful purpose for that!

Is it just a normal picture link within the [spoiler] tags?

For these ones it’s better if you copy the image rather than the link. :+1: Then paste that in the reply box, let it upload, and wrap it in spoiler tags. Et voila!

How did you know?!

Because I’m magic. :slightly_smiling_face:

And I quoted your post to see the code :slightly_smiling_face:

No :heart: left but that is amazing

Interestingly, if you copy the image straight from the product page/main site you get a jpeg upload, but if you then copy it from a forum post and paste it in a new reply you get a png.

The jpeg allows it to be enlarged, whereas the png doesn’t (which is why the two blurred photos of the wand and the dildo above behave differently)

I think for the blurring I prefer the .png

Good to have the ability to enlarge though and very useful knowledge to have on the differences.
