Thoughts on (illegal) drugs...

never had a drug in my life life unless a doctor prescribed it but ive recently thought about viagra for hubby

Noting the light hearted end to the above and putting the most pessimistic interpretation on it, you may be talking "erectile disfunction". Have tried the viagra reluctantly but was suffering from late diagnosed hyper tension. The eventual outcome was serious surgery of vascular nature, my OH was told it couldnt get any worst.

For other reasons. I have also become familiar with Prostate issues and I am not old. Prostate enlargement can cause erectile difficulties

The morale here is while viagra may treat the symtoms, investigate possible underlying causes for "ed" if this is an issue. Prostate enlargement can be easily be identified by a simple PSA blood test. It yields a number, below 5 is OK over 5 may indicate a problem, higher numbers indicate a problem of varying nature.

Illegal drugs ruined my first ever relationship. My first love broke me into pieces as she told me she had been doing cocaine the last 4 months of our relationship and thats why she didnt want to be with me,

She would except any1's help and in the end we split up

Dont do it, its not worth it, it only ruinds lifes!!!!!!!!

When i was between homes i once lived on a matress on the floor of a drug dealers flat the people were actually really nice, they did afterall give me a home, and ive been round their houses for dinner, so in no way am i saying that taking drugs makes you a bad person as thats definitely not the case, but noone can deny that its not addictive it obviously varies in amount but just like other drugs you dont know what people are adding to your weed. Whilst i was there they flat out refused to let me try any drugs, not that i asked but as soon as someone offered me a drag they were yelled at, I have taken it though before that when i was about 14 tried it hated it and that was it for me, I then went on to live in a hostel, quite a few people there were done over on booze and weed, they wasted all their money on weed and had to rely on handouts, you could tell it was wrecking their bodies and mental abilities as i started to tutor some of them through their GCSE's, it killed the idea for me as a teenager because i hated where i was and i didnt want to find myself back there because of drugs, I will say though that between the alchys and drug addicts, the alcoholics were worse, theyd be ok during some hours of the day but they wouldnt know what they were saying after that. Drugs definitly addle your mind though i believe its illegal for a reason and should stay that way, if you want to go ahead and do it fine but i wouldnt condone it and i agree with the government for not doing it either, and they should definitly but stronger restrictions on alcohol.

And for those who do not believe that Alcohol is addictive... ever had a hangover? A hangover is actually a combination of mild withdrawal symptoms after stopping drinking. Which is why many people say that the best cure for a hangover is to carry on drinking.

Not necessarily, the cause of a hangover is largely unknown but it's generally believed to be dehydration. Drinking alcohol won't help, you need plenty of fluids. I can stop a hangover dead by drinking 2 litres of water spread over the hour before I get in to bed.

You do get alcohol withdrawl but generally when you're an addict only.

though i believe its illegal for a reason and should stay that way

The reason cannabis had its classification changed was because The Daily Mail gave the government a backhander. Promised they'd support labour if they did (moral of that story, never trust a newspaper to hold to their word). Here was a discussion between Prof. David Nutt, independent advisor on drugs, one time government advisor on drugs and all round expert:

Smith: "You cannot compare the harms of an illegal activity with a legal one."
Nutt: "But don't we need to compare the harms in order to see if something should be illegal?"
Smith (after a long pause): "You can't compare the harms of an illegal activity with a legal one.

I wouldn't trust the government's motives for classifing anything. There is no good evidence for cannabis being illegal. Certainly most would recommend it be restricted, but illegal makes no sense. It could be an excellent therapeutic drug for cancer sufferers with chronic pain, to treat MS pain symptoms and a variety of other disorders.

wow that does sound horrible, i presume they just dont want to get the blame for someone who ODs and to have them all caught out as far as drugs goes. Still heartless.

They sound much nicer than the people I hear about around here. For the most part if someone is taking something and react's badly (and it's not that uncommon) to avoid the person ruinning the buzz and all by dying they drag them out side and leave them in the cold.... no one in there care's suddenly that sad moment is gone and out of mind. Not much of the people ho do react badly survive and there's been an increase over the years.

I think that's less about them dying and more about the other people in the house being responsible for another person's death. Reminds me of Bad Boys II

TT when people are out of it they just dont think along normal lines, my experience is they sit around sorting out life the world and everything, make exotic and complicated plans for having a great time, then crash out having done nothing. The buzz is talking about things not doing them. I do believe they would see someone dying as ruining the party, even being selfish.
