If you are going to ask a friend, are they a friend that's into it? Would it be a surprise to them?

That could make that friendship awkward or end.

are you both jealous people at all? Mainly the person who's the same sex as the person who's joining in

I (Dave) am more open to threesomes than she is.

I prefer mmf as I like her bring pleasured. In that scenario I am fine because for that moment of time we are enjoying ourselves. However I naturally would be jealous/angry if another guy was paying her attention outside of that situation.

whereas I think if we had a mff she would get jealous of me and the other girl.

I'm not sure if I'm the best person to give advice as I've never participated in a threesome but I've read loads about them and quite a few testimonies either from people who would regularly partake or people who just experienced their first one and one of the biggest issues I see is when people decide to "play" with a friend. More often than not it doesn't go as planned, people are jealous and/or insecure and the friendship is pretty much lost. You might be better off looking for a pro or even someone who's been a third person before. And no matter who you end up with as your third person, establish very, very clear rules.
