Morning all, Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.
I’ve just discovered that the storage bags I got from amazon to keep some of my toys in have transferred dye onto the only toy I had stored in them to make sure they were good to use (advertised as 100% cotton) but obviously not…
the staining is mainly on the back of the toy, however I’ve never come across this issue before so no idea on how to go about removing the stains without causing damage.
my intial plan is going to be soaking in warm water and soap, but what other options is there if that doesn’t work?
Time to go and find some better bags/pouches I guess ,
L.
Sadly I never found that possible and I would be worried about using anything too strong on it in case it damages it. Mine stained from the lingerie I bought to dress it in
Depending on the bag dye I alas think soap and water isn’t gonna remove it… it may fade gradually over time with washing but ultimately the only thing that will make a noticeable difference is gonna be something with more heavy cleaning to it…
One my silicone dildos got stained once and I tried everything to get it off, soap scrub, toy cleaner, vinegar and soda, vanish!, dettol and even some other cleaner which eventually all that did vastly lift most the staining away… but I was then scrubbing for days with soapy water hoping it would remove any bad chemicals left on it
i’ve tried with johnsons top to toe in warm water and soaking for an hour with no luck, also tried with LH fresh with the same results, the stains have lightened a tiny bit but still visible, ah well ~ i guess its a custom toy now
acne cream is one that keeps popping up a lot in searches, i’m not overly fussed with it now to be honest, it was a black dyed bag, oh well.. my toy has a custom colouring to it now .
from now on i think i’m going to buy some 100% cotton pillow cases to store my toys in in future.
Benzoyl Peroxide (Acne Cream): Apply a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream directly to the stain. Cover with plastic wrap and let it sit, or use a hair dryer on medium heat for 5-10 minutes to accelerate the process.
from a quick google search, cotton pillow cases are cheap enough so will stick with those
