I've been looking at the over door varietys since my OH mentioned yesterday he wouldn't mind trying one out. The thing is I'm no skinny Minnie. I weigh about 250lbs which is well under the maximum weight it suggests but I'm just wondering is it going yo be a waste of money seeing as I'm no gymnast? Any other curvy girls with a bum and belly given one a go?
Well I am not a curvy woman but before I put the MRS in the swing I set it up (the door kind) and sat in it. I am about your size and it held me fine.
We have been debating one for a long time, but decided if we are going to do it we might as well go for it and get a proper one. Just haven't got around to getting someone in to give me an estimate to get it hung properly as i don't want to pull the ceiling down!
We had this one http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20331
I say had because it just wasn't comfy for me (I have reviewed if you want to check that out).
I was concerned about my weight with this (got a few curves myself) but it's really strong, me and my partner have both tried sitting in it and having a bounce around :)
The problem I had was the straps digging in to my hips, not a problem my partner had so I put it down to a combination of my big bum and wide hips.
I say give it a go, can always return it if it's no good for you :)

So dont worry you can have lots of fun no matter your size xx Good luck in your choice
Risk of the door coming off or is the weight spread around somehow? Our house is old so worried about should we have bigger hinges or longer screws in hinges. Cant have a ceiling one as curious kids!
I don't think you need to be worried about the doors. When I said I considered my weight as well I'm well under the maximum weight but I suppose it just crosses your mind, but the straps can be put at any point at the top of the door.
It does say you need a sturdy door but our doors are quite old and we had no problems. You just need to need to make sure the door shuts securely.

we have curious children as well, but decided a while back just to be open about things. All out paddles/floggers etc are hung up on the back of the door so are just the furniture now, guessing a hook in the ceiling will be the same. i know some people have covered the hook up with a blank light fitting when not in use if this makes it easier for you to hide!sexbaron wrote:
