Toy cleaner?

I've always cleaned up with baby wipes, but now I'm wondering if the alcohol etc in them might damage silicone and dry out our sensitive parts... is a specialist toy / body cleanser essential?

I don't want to spoil those 'afterwards' moments by dashing of to the bathroom to rinse toys / mop up. But I don't know if toy / body wipes and sprays are just something else to spend money on or if they do actually have better qualities than baby wipes or a face cloth.

Sex toy wipes have an anti-microbial in them, usually chlorhexadine. That’s the main difference. Alcohol doesn’t damage silicone but I don’t know if it’s safe for PVC and rubber toys since it is a solvent. Personally I just use warm water and dish detergent to clean everything, except I do have some DIY cleaning wipes that work well for removing silicone lube from hard surfaces. If in the bedroom you just need to avoid cross contamination but it’s never gonna be convenient to stop and clean a toy during play.

I use warm water and soap for our toys that are waterproof ( which to be honest is most of them) after use. Before use I give them a little spray with lovehoney toy cleaner and some kitchen roll just to give them a little freshen up. For those that aren't waterproof a damp cloth and toy cleaner.

I use either this (which I prefer) https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26832 or this https://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=31584 and wipe down with kitchen paper. Then I wash my toy with lukewarm water and fragrance-free baby soap.

In order to not ruin those ''after'' moments, we clean up our toys later. It can be one hour later, or the next day.

I'm a big fan of Pjur Med spray. It's great to freshen up skin and wipe down toys. I still wash my toys with warm water and Lovehoney toy cleaner the next day, but for a quick post-sex clean it does the job. A squirt and wipe with a piece of kitchen roll equals clean toys with no glow interruption.

I also use it on a toy before use if it's not been out for a while.
