Has anyone had any issue with their toys flaking or getting sticky or staining things around it? These are my lovehoney x womanizer toys. You can see the black part is badly flaked and it has stained the charging cables black. I can’t remove the stains or fix the flaking at all. They are stored in a drawer and cleaned with wipes for such toys. Is there anything I can do?
What is the back made of? Is it a hard plastic or is it silicone?
It looks like it has either been cleaned with something that is too abrasive or has been stored with something that has reacted to it.
The other alternative is they are being scratched by something in the drawer, like the chargers. How much do they move when you open the drawer? Or do you dig around in the drawer?
I don’t think you can restore them. It looks cosmetic and shouldn’t affect the toys performance but it is likely to make the toy more subject to holding on to bacteria on back. I would suggest in future not storing the charger with the toys.
It maybe worth looking into sex toy renewal powder if your toy is sillicone. They recommend it for fleshlights and is meant to stop the stickiness and prolong them. Also if you use lube make sure it’s not oil based as this can damage some materials
Sounds like it’s reacted to something… have you stored it with other toys made from different materials?
I’d definitely reframe from using it anymore if it’s flaking.
When you say “stored separately” how do you achieve that? Are they in bags or containers? And is there anything else in there with it?
Otherwise, it could be the lube. It’s possible the wipes are too strong for the toy (the Lovehoney ones and the ones from the high street store should both be fine). Do you use them in the bath or shower? Or after applying any kind or hand cream, lotion etc? A lot of beauty products contain silicones that can react with silicone toys
Hmm I’d also say maybe lube then if it’s got silicone in it as for toys you should only use water-based lubes.
Alternately it might just be a faulty product
They really are seriously damaged. It’s only aesthetic i think, but i wouldn’t be happy with that either.
If that’s silicone, it’s likely to have been damaged by silicone or oil based lube, contact with another material it reacted with (i would expect that to be more localised), or a cleaning agent.
From the damage shown, it’s likely caused by something you use regularly, without being aware it has an impact on that material.
I don’t use lube with these and I don’t use them in the bath or shower or after/ near any lotions or creams. I store them in drawstring pouches, kind of like the ones that are given free with the premium Womanizers.
I have two and they are both like this :-/ I don’t use lube with these. I have NARS makeup stuff with black cases that are like this too. I think it’s the material.
Darn I’d definitely look into getting some different toys and check that they are silicone or even maybe try out glass and metal ones as they definitely won’t flake
