Hi, I've recently bought my first vibrators and was wondering whether any of you have any further recommendations for sex toys for beginners?

Hi, welcome to the forums. To echo mamz, what sort of stuff is it that you're interested in trying out?

or beginner kink
Great advice except the first link is a dilator set which isn't a toy!
Good point but thought it'd be worth mentioning it for complete newbies. Saw good reviews of it on threads where people are virgins or have vaginismus :)mamz wrote:

Thanks for all the recommendations so far. To clarify, I am a beginner to sex toys even though I have plenty of sexual experinece in general, I have just never tried them before. I am definitely interested in insertion toys, vibrators and dildos and the like, as well as beginners BDSM as that really interests me.
This dildo could be a great start since it is made out if silicone, is pretty average size and there is a hole for a bullet if you would like it to vibrate :) You also get a free lube with it 😄
And this kit is perfect for testing bondage!

It is beautiful, soft materials, great for sensory play! This would be my first kit if I had to start all over :)

If you're ever looking to level up with BDSM give me a shout but the kits Sxleksaker and myself posted are great for beginners :)
I'd recommend setting aside a limit of what you're happy to spend, then buying a few things you think might be interested in.
I'd say try a good bullet vibrator, a nice dildo or two that you like the look of, maybe one in glass and one realistic, a rabbit vibrator and whatever else takes your fancy.
That way you'll begin to learn the types of toys you like, the materials you like and what you want them to do. Anything that you feel just doesn't work for you, you can return to lovehoney up to a year later, for a refund or to seap for something else.
Eventually when you know what you like, you can consider investing in more luxury toys, which I guarantee you will never look back from 😊 Have fun!
Thanks for all the recommendations guys! They were really helpful.
I'd love to just learn a bit more about BDSM in general MondaySixteenth, I don't currently have a partner but I'm really interested in finding out about it a bit more. Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks for all the great recommendations everyone!

Strap yourself in this is likely going to be a longish post.
So you've got a million things encompassed in BDSM. Tameest will likely be sensual play (ticklers, gentle use of pinwheels, satin, etc), working up to some bondage which can range from satin tie cuffs to full rope (see my photos), spreader bars and even to predicament bondage and vaccum beds at the more extreme end etc. This can be incorporated with or seperate from other types of play most commonly impact play (hitting) but there are tonnes of other things that fall under BDSM. The human sex map is a fun way of seeing whats out there, what you're curious about and what's definitely not for you - http://www.humansexmap.com/
As well as that physicality there's where you define as a person. The BDSM test is what most people on fetlife (more later) use for looking into this. You answer a series of questions and it tells you about your turn ons and offs, whether you dominate or are submissive, and some less common labels too - http://bdsmtest.org/index.php
And then there's fetlife. This is facebook for kink essentially and is how most kinky events are organised as well as tips shared, interest groups with discussions, etc. On here you can find a local group and look for your nearest "Munch". This is where people interested in BDSM get together for food or drink and chat. It's a great way to find out what's on near you, meet people with similar interests and learn about local small businesses (and even larger ones! I had thebondageman whose candles are sold on LH offer me a rope tutorial!). Then come actual events and that's a whole other post that I've probably already done if you stalk round my messages :P
Let me know if anything needs clarifying or if you want more info about anything in particular. x
